Have any of you ever had a babysitter younger than yourself? I know it is unusual and embarrassingly it happened to me. My (single) mother frequently left me with babysitters because she worked all day and went out partying several nights a week. When I became a teenager I was still getting babysat which was shameful to me. My mothet said I wasn't mature enough to stay home alone. Although I was physically small and young looking for my age, I thought I was mature enough but my mom disagreed. Actually I think my mom wanted me to have a babysitter at that age for the control aspects of it. My mom was super strict and she wanted a sitter to enforce her rules, she didn't like the idea of me being home alone free to do what I like. When I was 12, I would be together for the sisters of my step-son, my age and the child, she and her husband had the 2nd I matured early to my nephews, who have been slow to mature compared. I was proud to be a very big responsibility, and took better care of my expenses as I could. The Littles Party in Sarah’s suite was later on in the evening and I went to that. She had many little playmates there and they were all well behaved, thankfully. I’m not a “littles” fan and only go because it means so much to Sarah to have her Momma there. Sometimes these play parties can get out of hand with a bunch of over-sized brats throwing paper airplanes, shooting water pistols and just being annoying. I have no patience for this whatsoever!
