Also, Harley-Davidson seems like a fitting mount for the veteran, given the WWII connection between the company and the U.S. Army. Significance [ edit ] Posters of Peter Fonda on his motorcycle from Easy Rider for sale in a store in Chicago circa 1970. While this might sound like its own plot for a Hollywood film, the questions of provenance have real repercussions for the value of the collector’s item, which is said to be one-of-a-kind even though there are two of them. Sadly, Haggerty, who helped build the bikes and took care of maintenance during filming, died in 2016 but I interviewed him several years ago to try to get to the bottom of the whereabouts of the genuine Captain America.
