About this deal
Some mention that it works well and connects without problems after, while others say that it fails so spectacularly, is incredibly finicky, and unreliable. My iPhone immediately recognized the Soundsync A3341, and I was soon hearing music through the speakers without any distortion or drop-out. A long press on the power button enables pairing and then you can select the device from the phone’s Bluetooth menu.
I then plugged the RCA stereo jacks into the auxiliary port on my stereo and selected this input on the stereo. I’m thinking about picking up another to stick on an old set of over ear headphones that sound amazing but I rarely use because I move around constantly and the wire doesn’t jive. There are receivers only or both transmitter/receivers if you need to do something else, but I knew this going in, and this is exactly what I wanted. EDIT - I received a PM regarding the little box connected to the AUX input on my speaker during the non-BT section of the review (last photo for ref).
If someone is looking for a way to extend the life of existing audio technology and incorporate it with today’s Bluetooth connectivity, look no further than the Anker AK-A3341011 Soundsync A3341 Bluetooth 2-In-1 Transmitter and Receiver. However, I had already found those 3rd party manuals, and looking at all of them that I found, they were copies of the paper manual that came with the unit that is pretty limited. While it boasts an impressive 12-hour battery life, it does require a USB port to charge it, a slightly tedious chore as it leaves a long wire scattered across the centre console. If you have older car stereo with good quality speakers but don’t feel like putting a new radio in it’s also a great upgrade to play stuff from your phone via BT. The sound quality is very good as I can't find any issue when playing my HiRes music from DAC to my Sennheiser MTW2, although I am not audiophile. I highly recommend the Anker AK-A3341011 Soundsync A3341 Bluetooth 2-In-1 Transmitter and Receiver to anyone wanting to bring 20th century technology into the 21st century. The main issue with the nifty gadget is that it will only work if your car is fitted with an AUX cable. If I have it connected to a switched USB supply, it would be great if it would just turn on and turn off when it gains/loses power, effectively bypassing the internal battery I guess.
