Possible combination(s): There is roughly a 1% chance of breeding this successfully. According to statistics, doing 70 attempts gives you a 50% chance of successfully breeding at least one Humbug; and doing 690 attempts gives you a 99.9% chance of successfully breeding at least one Humbug. Note that a Rare Monster can substitute any parent. The only exceptions are Ethereal Breeding Bonanzas. There is no 'optimal' breeding method, as all natural monsters used to breed humbug result in a 12 hour wait if failure. Some of Humbug's names are references to "A Christmas Carol," Being "Bezziwig" to Fezziwig, "Krachit" to Bob Cratchit, and "Skrooj" to Ebenezer Scrooge. This is due to Scrooge's famous line, "Bah, Humbug". The dealer is chosen at random, and if multiple games are played, the turn to deal should switch evenly between the two players.
