Had this fragrance since it came out, and sadly on the last bottle, I found the fragrance to be very weak and hardly noticeable.

I was a bit surprised but before getting the testers I also smelled them on test strips and the EdT and EdP really weren't as great as I remembered. The Parfum dials down the powdery note without completely removing it - you will definitely still notice the signature Bleu de Chanel blueprint, albeit less sharply. However, if I had to choose a Bleu de Chanel for a formal occasion or upscale setting, it would definitely be the parfum because of its more refined and "denser" quality.I also use ombré leather parfum as a special occasion fragrance and I feel the performance of that is much better, even Sauvage parfum has a bit more push to it. The edp and edt have the “it” factor I love in the parfum, but the richness and heart notes on display are pronounced loud and proud as where with the edt and edp it runs and hides. Works all year day or night but definitely leans more formal than casual and I think is better suited to cool/mild weather. It still has the BDC dna but I would have never expected this to be powdery and musky but I love a good powdery fragrance and this is lovely. I've owned all BTC from when they were released for the first time and to this day the perfume version is still one of the best releases of modern perfumery in my collection.

It’s deceiving in the respect that while it doesn’t seem bold, it lingers in the air wherever you go. Comparing to the EDP, Parfum is similar, but gentler and more agreeable - less pepper, more sweet tonka. I oversprayed it one time and it began to smell a little like Sauvage Elixir, quite dark and peppery - not necessarily a bad thing but worth noting! Wearing this makes it feel like I'll stand out, but only enough that it'll be the best-smelling cologne in the room.Nice longevity and projection on my skin, this is a nice twist on the original that offers more mature side that is more suitable for colder weather than the previous 2. Longevity is good (7-8 hours at least), but projection intimate (bear in mind that something being a Parfum doesn't necessarily mean stronger projection).

Even today most fashion houses try to compete with Chanel 's Bleu succes (Dior Sauvage , YSL Y , Versace Dylan Blue) but Bleu de Chanel remains the best for me. After trying the Parfum, I think that it was the incense note that I didn’t like in the EDP that isn’t present in the Parfum.BDC Parfum has alot of nice warmth from the woods and darkness from the lavender which is what makes it smell really seductive and classy.
