Her parents are Rainbow High Alumni, though they have never been seen or more then slightly mentioned.

Sunny Madison is a 2020-introduced and all-around character. She is a student at Rainbow High that focuses in Computer Animation. Sunny is as bright and happy as her name and her yellow color palette suggest. She's bubbly, energetic and she loves to be a fangirl of everything - especially her friends. She got into Rainbow High on her amazing animation skills, and at school, she creates a whole animated series based on her BFFs. She's the kind of cutie that can only be described as kawaii, because she's obsessed with all things adorable. Sunny's style is quirky but cool with a mix of pieces that makes her a trendsetter, not just a fan. Though they should be rivals, Violet seems to regard Karma with a lot of respect, and has expressed interest in collaborating with her. It's still unknown if Karma feels the same way but she did give her show The Vi Life a shout out, saying that it is cute in Episode 4 " The De'Vious Twins Spill the Tea! Yass Boo!". While she was initially unsure of Amaya due to her being Bella's replacement, Poppy grew to appreciate Amaya as part of her runway group, however they do not interact one on one much. Like her relationship with Poppy, Violet doesn't really talk to Skyler that much. However, the two of them are seen getting along pretty well. Amaya and Skyler have become decently close friends, mostly to their shared love of fashion and them both majoring in it. They did however start off more cold, with Skyler initially seeming intimidated by Amaya and her shared fashion focus.

Her second outfit, her dress, appears to be inspired by the Dior Spring-Summer 2017 Tulle Dress, worn by Bella Hadid, which featured the brand logo in white ribbon as sleeves, similar to how the "RAINBOW" logo is accentuated at Violet's waist in white ribbon. Both tulle dresses accentuate the waist. The platform sneakers featured in her signature outfit are inspired by a pair of shoes featured in Gucci's 2017 Spring/Summer collection. In her artwork she has wavy pigtails, however on her doll and in the animated series she has straight pigtails.
