Divide the Catch Phrase cards into two sets - one set with a Catch Phrase on ONE side (Super Catch Phrases) and the other set with a Catch Phrase on BOTH sides (Regular Catch Phrases).

After you have scored the points for the round just played, the team holding the Catch Phrase game unit begins the next round by pressing the button.

The aim of the game is to guess the most catchphrases, thus gaining the highest score. Each time the reverse of a card is revealed, the players have to guess the catchphrase of the larger image within the allotted time (timer included). The default category (and the word displayed on screen when the game is awakened) is "Everything", which includes, well, everything!

Each game consists of several rounds of play. To begin a round, press the Start/Stop button to start the timer. A word from the chosen category will appear on the screen. In the first round, the first two contestants to guess three phrases each correctly go through to the second round where they then play for money. The Host uses the red filter provided to read the answers (printed upside-down below the pictures) on the Super Catch Phrase cards. When the buzzer beeps, time is over. The team which does not hold the game unit is awarded one point. In this game there is a picture frame that holds a Bonus Catch Phrase card.The nine 'window covers' that fit into the frame are printed on a separate 'pop-out' sheet. Carefully press out these window covers before you start the game.

If the other team catches you committing any of these no-no's you must press the Stop/Start button to shut the timer off. The other team automatically gets one point for that round. (See "How to Score Points"). In this round each player tries to solve Catch Phrases on their own. The Host takes a card from the Regular Catch Phrase set. He looks at the answer which is written upside-down on the other side of the card.
