Tara would happily kill someone for Christmas to be slightly less manic than usual. From a stroppy teenager testing boundarys to trying to potty train and everything in between, family life is full on for Tara and her hubby. But her wayward mother (who I couldn't help but see as Brenda's mum from DinnerLadies!) decides to foist herself on them for Christmas too - Tara's grip on her sanity might finally slip! Paul also seems to be less than his usual self and Tara's finds herself doubting her marriage too. I adored Serena’s first book- it made me laugh out loud so much, I was getting strange looks from the family! This book hit differently. There were some really funny moments (mostly thanks to Tara’s little boys), but there were also a lot more serious topics included: strained mother/daughter relationships; strained marriages/friendships, miscommunication, workplace sexual harassment, anxiety. I was expecting a laugh a minute type story like her last book so I didn’t enjoy it as much. However, this is an evolving document, and so, some implementations adhere to an earlier version of the POSIX specification; furthermore, there are some legacy implementations which didn't even try to adhere to POSIX.
