If you’re driving into the West End to see a show, take advantage of Q-Park’s Theatreland Parking Scheme. But last year it added a four acre woodland experience that's home to all of the much-loved creatures from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's iconic Gruffalo books. As well as all the animal attractions, there are also huge indoor and outdoor play areas for kids to enjoy whatever the weather. Visitors can also meet father and son duo, Itzatna Arts, on selected dates to bring to life the magic of animals and traditional Mexican culture, through immersive storytelling and a variety of traditional central and southern American games.

You can then walk through a fully wheel-accessible trail to watch the classic Julia and Axel story unfold. The Garrick Theatre is located on Charing Cross Road, near to Leicester Square in London’s West End. You soon have your first meeting with the Gruffalo - which is the perfect opportunity for family photos. There's even a Gruffalo cafe to take a break from all those stories of owl ice cream and scrambled snake. Visitors can take advantage of Twycross Zoo’s new annual ticket, which allows guests to enjoy a whole year, once they pay for one visit. This is interspersed with special visitor tunnels where excerpts from the animated Gruffalo adventure are shown with more games and puzzles for kids. The Gruffalo Discovery Land is an accesible trail through a woodland that allows families to explore the story in an inventive new way.And handily for parents, there's also a mini adventure playground outside to keep youngsters entertained at this pit stop too. There's a zoo not far from Manchester that boasts a magical deep dark wood inspired by the Gruffalo. For little animal lovers, there will be a fun-filled, free-of-charge, arts and crafts station where children can create their very own colourful parrot masks. The Gruffalo said that no gruffalo should ever set foot in the deep dark wood… But one wild and windy night the Gruffalo’s child ignores her father’s warning and tiptoes out into the snow. She follows snowy tracks and encounters mysterious creatures – but the Big Bad Mouse doesn’t really exist… does he?
