I agree that the last half of the book dragged as the only conflict was that she didn’t want to admit she loved him.Prior to reading the book, there had been a lot of comments on Sabrina’s coldness and how long it took her to truly let down her walls. There were a couple of bits that I found annoying (like the rude comments Sabrina cops for breastfeeding her baby), and one scene that actually upset me/made me angry (the “breathing class”) but those reactions were due to my own issues and not something I’d mark the book down for if you know what I mean. John Tucker is well known in the rented house he shares with fellow Briar hockey players Garrett Graham, John Logan and Dean Di Laurentis, as being the nurturer. That’s vitally important, of course, but not enough to sustain the story, so it felt like it went on too long.
