About this deal

At Good Good Good it’s our job to look for Helpers in the midst of bad news — and time after time, we’ve always found them. If you could choose to be born at any time in human history, but you wouldn’t know where you’d be born, what your race would be, whether or not you’d be able-bodied, or how much money your family would have, you would absolutely choose the moment we’re living in today. This simple phrase has been known to change lives. Remind your spouse or partner that they are loved. 32. “We have a ‘new normal.’” My thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for the DRC of “Everything Is OK”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book. I do have reasons for hope: our clever brains, the resilience of nature, the indomitable human spirit, and above all, the commitment of young people when they're empowered to take action.” — Jane Goodall

At Good Good Good, it’s our job to help readers feel more hopeful and do more good. Every day, we look for good news to share with our community. And there hasn’t ever been a single day where we didn’t find good news. In fact, we’ve never had the time and money to share all of the good news we find — there's that much of it. Healthcare workers and researchers are making a major impact on global health through vaccines for conditions like Malaria, COVID-19, HIV prevention, Lyme disease, and more. In the book Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World — And Why Things Are Better Than You Think , Hans Rosling says, “Step-by-step, year-by-year, the world is improving. Not on every single measure every single year, but as a rule. Though the world faces huge challenges, we have made tremendous progress. This is the fact-based worldview.” Newstead, Al (12 February 2020). "Violent Soho detail album 5, share new single "Lying on the Floor" ". Triple J . Retrieved 20 January 2021. The panels on hypervigilance, stress multiplying stress, and anxiety kind of self-breeding were so relatable. Also the passages about just wanting to lay down when it feels like things aren't improving.People sometimes become calmer when experiencing human touch. It’s true for babies and the elderly. So why wouldn’t it be true for everyone else? 35. “Let’s pray together.”

The book explores her journey to understanding the importance of mental health in her day-to-day life and how she learns to embrace the highs and lows when things feel out of control. Debbie opens up about deeply personal issues and the winding road to recovery, discovers the value of self-love, and rebuilds a more mindful relationship with her mental health. Here are some statements that may make some people feel better about the current state of the world. 8. “Pandemics are new to us, but they are not new to the world. Our ancestors got through this and we can too.” Can you believe that we live in a world filled beautiful music? Talented musicians release new songs every day. Styles and genres continue to evolve every year. And you can spend the rest of your life listening to your favorite memory-soaked songs — and discovering new music that speaks to you in a whole new way. We know that this phrase tends to be overused, but “I’m sorry for your loss” may be a better thing to say to someone in mourning instead of “it’s going to be okay.”Remind your friends and family members that life will continue after the pandemic is a bad memory for most people. 10. “This is temporary.” The phrase " Is everything okay?" is frequently used in "The Big Bang Theory" television series, often when characters are trying to understand and navigate social situations or personal dilemmas.

But I also really related to the therapist scenes. I’m so bad at therapists, I always just want to tell them ‘you helped me!’ so they feel good about themselves and feel like they are good at their jobs I guess? But also being vulnerable is hard. Lets all make space to let people be more vulnerable.

Is everything all right

We know we have done little to define the right time when it would be okay to say, “It’s going to be okay.” Because of this, let’s spend some time discussing some alternatives to this phrase – ones that offer reassurance without trivializing the problem. Alternative to ‘It’s Going to Be Okay’ to Say After a Death or Tragic Loss If you feel overwhelmed by the state of the world, your feelings are valid. But we've created this list so you can breathe deeply and remember the good happening in the world. Anyway, what I found when I approached Everything Is OK was a beautifully illustrated and deeply personal story. Some of the aphorisms came across as mechanical, which could just be my cynicism showing. Just because they're expected doesn't mean these are bad sentiments though. Like the title - 'everything is okay.' Revelatory? No. But it comes from a place of honest sentiment. Show that you are a team player by jumping in when help is needed. If you aren’t sure how to assist, ask what you can do to help. 39. “Would you like me to run the reports for you? Attend that meeting in your place? Etc.”
