About this deal

seperti Batman di Gotham City specifically in the dark alley: grunge, grieving, mysterious and assertive.

I will say that this could probably smell strange on people's skin, I imagine the cypress could go sour or have the combination of vetiver and cypress smell rubbery. I really love this fragrance but don't go in with high expectations, it's linear and might react poorly with your body chemistry.

ENCRE NOIRE À L’EXTRÊME, Eau de Parfum

For the price it's at, I can't see why you'd pass this one up- great perfume for those who like dark or vetiver forward scents. If you want something similar but lighter, get Terre d'Hermes - it's basically a pop version of the same smell, with the incense toned down, at the price of smelling maybe a bit less natural and more chemical. Terre smells like Encre Noir after a few hours after application.

This is everything I've been looking for, fragrance-wise. It's sharp, pungent, shadowy, dark, voluptuous, and altogether smoky and seductive. My final impression is that its a Cypress forward scent, with a vetiver base. In the opening and mid drydown its smokey but it loses it in the final phase. It is still an incredibily unique, evocative, nostalgic, dark, bitter green, artistic perfume. Maceration made it smoother, more rounded and dry woody. I still maintain my opinion about the performance, it is average at best, atleast on my skin. It is not a powerfull perfume, and it shouldn't be. This is not a fragrance you spray everyday, it wouldn't do it justice. This is one to enjoy alone, when the mood calls for it. Versatility: 8.0 (a dark fragrance that does not please everybody, although its class will overcome many barriers) Have you ever been in a catholic church when they burn incense? Because that's EXACTLY the smell and anyone who has will recognize it instantly. For those who haven't, it's like wood, smoke, earth, and salt.My experience so far is happily similar to the majority: so far so good, and so, so wood. Buy it, and if you don’t like it on its own, layer it. Saying the same with this one as with A L´Extreme....Can´t stop sniffing my arm when I wear it :D It´s an absolute favorite with great longevity 8-10h hours on my skin. This one is Stroong Cypress Vetiver Woody. Smells like what I’d think silent hill (especially in silent hill 2) smells like. The misty dreamlike atmosphere, the ominous and heavy fog yet relaxing and peaceful stillness present side by side, the tall trees that go on forever. Even though this is known as a winter fragrance I always associate it with a humid dry forest in the summer, probably only because I got it during summer though so take that with a pinch of salt. Nevertheless I love it, the flankers aren’t as good in my opinion, I think they do too much, the bitter resin opening of the extreme reminds me slightly of BO and the sport smells to me like a watered down and citrus sharp version of the OG, whereas the simplicity of the original, in my opinion, is what makes it so unique. The cypress notes are very intensive, consistent throughout the dry down. Now that I've had Encre Noire for a while, I've become really sensitive to the vetiver in this. I remember walking through the fields and mountains in my home country and smelling vetiver in the air, this smells exactly like it. It's become a major comfort scent for me. I can also see how this can come off as gothic- the cypress brings a dark and forest-y element to the fragrance. I think of abandoned libraries and foggy woods.

All in all, this fragrance is intense and unhinged, not easy to wear, because you have to be in a mood for it. I think it fits settings which require you to be somber and present, like a funeral, church, or court. You get a touch of softwood (cashmere) and musk with the base notes to enhance the pleasant dark atmosphere. After a couple of sprays, you notice a magnificent imposing gloomy cypress. The vetiver middle notes make themselves noticed almost immediately, embracing the cypress without choking it. Love it! It´s pretty linear from first sprayed to the last drydown which I like alot and that is pretty unique for a scent. As for the people saying this fragrance is "sad", I really can't help but feel that you WILL find that in this fragrance if that's what you're looking for. However not everybody around you is expecting and looking for a sad fragrance. People I've shown this fragrance to have rather said it just smells peaceful, among other similar things. This fragrance honestly reminds me of a lot of things, but everything I think of it is kind of "dimly lit" if that makes any sense, but not in a sad way. A quiet teahouse. An untouched wet forest. These are the things this fragrance makes me think of. The opening is sharp and damp, and I love the cypress note. As it dries down the cypress recedes, and the vetiver note becomes more central. After the sharp opening, where the cypress blends with the vetiver as it transitions to the heart is my favorite stage of EN. A concept I haven’t seen presented much is this: the lower the price, the greater the volatility of final scent. I know this isn’t always true—some cheapies have it down!—but maybe this is what many of us are experiencing with these bottles? Can anyone experienced in the industry lend an informed opinion here? First impressions: The bottle is gorgeous. Statuesque. Minimalist. Dark. Geometric...and altogether aesthetically pleasing. It reminds me of luxurious dark-stained wood and obsidian stones.
