IngrediCountry Layers pellets and meal provide a complete feed for free range laying birds. Traditional quality ingredients are used to make a 3mm pellet or a coarsely ground meal. Calcium is added to provide strong shells, together with all the necessary minerals and vitamins for a healthy bird. Superstarter crumbs are a 27% protein superfine crumb which is ideal for young quail. They contain fish meal to give the best quality protein and Avatec to help prevent coccidiosis. A breeder ration with fish oil suitable for game birds and domestic poultry. Contains extra energy and vitamins to maximise the production of viable quality eggs. The Quail Grower can be omitted and Superstarter fed for longer but the layer/breeder pellets must be fed for at least five days before eggs are eaten.

Country Layers should be fed ad lib to laying birds. A typical bird will eat between 130 and 140 grammes per day. The Lysine and Methionine in this feed are from natural sources – synthetic amino acids are not used in this feed. They damage the tissue causing bleeding, hence the bloody poop, and prevent birds from absorbing nutrients.Due to the coccidiostat, Poultry Growers Pellets should not be fed for 5 days before slaughter (use Turkey/Poultry Finisher) and should not be fed to replacement laying birds over 16 weeks of age. The same rule applies when adding different feeds to the diet, never more than 5% of the diet and you will be fine. Avoid spinach and rhubarb leaves as they contains Oxalic acid which can cause digestive issues.
