We also made observations on the film title Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder. With large areas of solid shade this is a brutally unforgiving test of colour consistency. Revealing weaknesses in a strikingly obvious way. Even with this, the monitor performed quite well for its panel type. There were certainly losses in saturation towards the side edges and bottom of the screen from a normal viewing position. But these shifts were far less pronounced than the vertical shifts on a TN model or indeed the shifts on some VA models. It affected different shades to different degrees. It caused some already subtle pastel shades to appear quite faded near the extreme edges and meant that some shades lost their identity and individuality. But the overall look was still largely appropriate, with a nice range of muted shades appearing appropriately muted next to a good range of vibrant neon shades and strong deep shades. In other words, the overall look of the film was quite appropriate with a nice variety of shades.

Stereo speakers are built-in with four watts of power and are a polite presentation that focuses on the upper midrange. Volume is reasonable, and they play without audible distortion. OSD Features Strong static contrast and very effective local dimming for both SDR and HDR – the best HDR experience we’ve had on a monitor to date, with exceptional bright elements, inky deep shades and excellent variety in between Their findings? Some games experienced a 10% performance boost, while The Witcher 3 saw a massive 30% increase after a few years. That's a significant uplift, demonstrating the power of updating your drivers. The monitor also offers a selection of ‘Blue Light’ LBL settings, with varying effectiveness from ‘50%’ (highest reduction) to ‘80%’ (weakest reduction). The strongest setting was particularly effective at reducing blue light output. Successively stronger settings also reduced the default brightness – brightness is fully controllable by the user in each setting and the most effective blue light reduction comes from decreasing brightness as well. We’d advise reducing this further than the default value, as long as you find it comfortable and practical to do so. Cutting blue light exposure in the hours leading up towards sleep is important due to the stimulating nature of blue light and its effect on sleep hormones. It can be more relaxing in general at other times of the day, too.In terms of temperature and humidity, Snake Plants are most suited for weather conditions like those in the southern US: they do less well in intense cold. Another thing to keep in mind is that Snake Plants are highly invasive, like bamboo. This means that they should be planted in their own separate pot so as not to take over and overwhelm the surrounding ecosystem. Thankfully, this doesn’t prevent it from being one of the best low light indoor plants! Beyond that, Spider Plants offer the great advantage of being highly effective air purifiers. They absorb noxious chemicals like formaldehyde, xylene, benzene, and carbon monoxide, creating cleaner air for you to breathe. Single-player games like Destiny 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider that support HDR at a 21:9 aspect ratio were truly a sight to behold. Though there aren't a ton of HDR-ready games on shelves right now, the few that do exist will look their absolute best on a beast of a monitor like this. Talking about the structure, it is an 1800R curved display that features a 21:9 aspect ratio. This is considered to be ideal for supporting high-resolution, optimal performance. It offers superb contrast and brightness that you will be able to adjust depending on your personal needs. Keep in mind that the display is VESA-certified and HDR 1000, which further contributes to the quality of the image you will be looking at. We’ll also compare it to the ASUS ROG Swift PG35VQ, which uses the same panel and offers similar features. Image Quality

As usual, if you’re running the monitor at 3440 x 1440 and viewing 1920 x 1080 content (for example a video over the internet or a Blu-ray, using movie software) then it is the GPU and software that handles the upscaling. That’s got nothing to do with the monitor itself – there is a little bit of softening to the image compared to viewing such content on a native Full HD monitor, but it’s not extreme and shouldn’t bother most users.Shadow of the Tomb Raider was also presented in a vivid and varied way. Shades appeared with a bit of extra depth and saturation due to the colour gamut – just enough to make the game world appear vivid rather than unnatural. Lara’s skin appeared slightly more tanned than it should (when displayed in the central region of the screen) but not heavily tanned or sunburnt. Some reddish brown hues appeared only slightly too red overall, but still natural. A nice range of natural-looking greens was displayed for vegetation, too, with some appearing with slightly brighter yellow hues than intended but nothing extreme. Roaring orange and yellow flames, brightly painted red pottery and deep purple flowers were just some examples of very nicely presented vibrant-looking shades that stood out well on this model. With a somewhat more saturated look than intended by the developers, but nothing garish. There were some losses of saturation peripherally, as observed on Battlefield V, but only modest losses. The overall look remained quite vibrant and something many users will find appealing. You are probably wondering whether the performance it offers can compete with the priciest monitors on the market. Absolutely! The response time is 2ms, which is very impressive given the 3440x1440p and zero-frame display that it provides. Additionally, the refresh rate is superb, standing at 200Hz, which is the most that any gaming monitor offers. The NVIDIA G-SYNC can be activated by connecting the monitor through the built-in display port. Typing fast is no longer optional; it's a must-have skill in the digital age. According to Microsoft, many managers expect employees to hit at least 50 WPM (words per minute). Skip the monotonous drills and get those fingers flying with engaging typing games. In a gaming room environment, it’s important of course to have plants that can survive indoors without direct sunlight. Plants with a low maintenance level are also great candidates to place in a gaming room, so that gamers with less gardening experience can still enjoy the benefits of plant ownership. Let’s take a look at some of the best low light indoor plants for a PC setup!

We recommend using the Gaming mode here (even for desktop use) as it has the least amount of trailing and no other disadvantages. Keyboard Ninja blends fruit-slicing action and typing skills. Sounds odd? It's insanely fun and perfect for kids! The game starts easy for Grade 1 kids and gets more challenging. The X35 uses a spacious, 35 inch VA panel that looks stunning. The bezels are thin, the screen is bright, and the 1800R curve is just generous enough to draw you into the picture. Compared to a TN panel, which is a popular choice for gaming monitors, the response time is a bit slower, but color accuracy and viewing angles are improved. In my testing, the off-axis color shift is the best I’ve ever seen. Think you can type fast? ZType puts your skills to the test—with a space twist. An enemy spaceship shoots words your way. Your mission? Type out those words as fast as possible to take 'em down. Mess up, and your lasers jam. Nail all the words, and boom—the enemy's destroyed. The results here were also pleasing, with no significant deviations recorded. The maximum deviation from 6500K was recorded as DeltaE 1.3, right of centre. Note again that individual units vary when it comes to uniformity and you can expect deviation beyond the measured points. On VA panels such as this it’s also important to be aware of perceived shifts in colour temperature and brightness which occur due to viewing angle weaknesses. These aren’t accounted for by colorimeter-based measurements such as this. In addition to the quantitative testing above, we performed a subjective assessment of the uniformity of a variety of ‘medium’ shades, including 50% grey. Some monitors exhibit uniformity issues such as splotches or striations when viewing screen fills of such shades, giving an inconsistent appearance that some users refer to as ‘DSE’ (‘Dirty Screen Effect’). VA models are particularly prone to this, but we did not observe any clear issues of this nature on our X35 sample. Minor patchiness in places, but no clear striations or obvious splotches of significantly different shade brightness.Enhance display quality: Revel in sharper, precise, and vibrant visuals with higher-resolution graphics. A sturdily built product with an immersive screen size and a resolution and aspect ratio that delivers a nice experience for both work and play Then of course we can perform a full calibration which resolves all the remaining issues, especially that CCT curve performance. You could even create multiple profiles, one for the monitor when sRGB clamped and another when not clamped, depending on your use case.
