About this deal

Add to this some decent shadow detail retention in the darkest image corners and you’ve got dark scenes that don’t instantly and distractingly look like some poor relation to bright scenes. This level of consistency is enough in itself to embarrass an uncomfortable number of more expensive TVs. More expensive TVs hoping for a picture horror show from the 43A6GTUK should brace for disappointment. The set is actually anything but a video nasty, producing pictures that in some ways humble those of some much more expensive models. There are three HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for 4K at 60Hz, HDR, ALLM, HDCP 2.2, and CEC. One of the HDMI inputs also supports eARC. Contrary to what is stated in Hisense’s marketing, this TV doesn’t support HDMI 2.1, VRR or HDR10+.

Far from just showing pictures and making noise, the 43A6GTUK has a few handy extras up its sleeve. You may not use any portion of the Device for any other purposes other than as permitted herein, including but not limited to illegal activity, to make solicited and/or unsolicited offers or advertisements, to impersonate or falsely claim affiliation with any person or entity, to misrepresent, harass, defraud or defame others, to post, upload, transmit or disseminate any obscene, unreasonably offensive or any other unlawful material, or any information that may negatively impact our reputation, goodwill and/or the Smart Services, nor for any commercial purposes. It works seamlessly with Android and iOS devices, allowing you to cast content from your smartphone or tablet to the TV. It also supports Miracast, which enables you to mirror your device’s screen on the TV. Smart Features

The Hisense 50A6BGTUK boasts a 4K UHD resolution, which provides a crystal-clear picture with four times the Resolution of Full HD. This Resolution allows seeing even the smallest details in your favorite movies, TV shows, and games. The 4K Resolution enhances color accuracy and contrast, providing a more immersive and realistic viewing experience. The Hisense 50A6BGTUK features HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, which provides a wider range of colors and increased contrast, resulting in a more vibrant and realistic picture. This technology is particularly effective in darker scenes, as it allows more detail to be seen in the shadows. The TV supports HDR10 and HLG formats, widely used in streaming services and Blu-ray discs.

The Hisense A6G is a well-made 4K TV delivering solid performance at a very competitive price

The Hisense 50A6BGTUK has a range of picture settings that allow you to adjust the picture quality to your liking. It has several picture modes, including Dynamic, Standard, Cinema, Sports, and Game. These modes optimize the picture settings based on the type of content you are watching. If you prefer a more personalized picture setting, you can also calibrate the TV using the advanced picture settings. The Hisense 50A6BGTUK does not feature a One Connect Box, as Samsung TVs mostly use this technology. One Connect Box is a separate device that houses all of the TV’s input ports and connects to the TV via a single cable, reducing cable clutter and making it easier to connect devices. However, the Hisense 50A6BGTUK features multiple input ports, including HDMI, USB, and Ethernet, making it easy to connect devices directly to the TV. The gaming performance is generally good, within the limitations of the A6G’s innate abilities. The low input lag certainly results in a responsive experience, and playing a first-person shooter like Call of Duty on the PS5 reveals detailed 4K images and smooth 60Hz motion. The limited colour gamut still looks suitably punchy, and only the mediocre tone-mapping disappoints, producing a tendency to clip highlights. On the plus side, there’s no risk of screen burn with the LCD panel. We uploaded the latest brightness measurements and uniformity photos for the Accelerated Longevity Test. We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for two months in our Accelerated Longevity Test. We’re not saying the 43A6GTUK’s HDR impact is any sort of rival for what a premium LCD or OLED TV might do. It’s certainly unexpectedly potent for its price point, though. Materials” collectively means any Content, Submitted Content (where applicable and as further defined herein), messaging, blogging, chatting, social networking, information, advertising and/or internet links, etc., accessible or delivered through the Device. MicroLED technology has yet to be available on consumer TVs, as it is still developing. However, it is a promising technology that combines the benefits of OLED and traditional LED/LCDs. MicroLED TVs use small LED modules to create each pixel, creating a more accurate and precise picture. Hisense has yet to release any MicroLED TVs, but it may be a future technology to look out for.

There are similar models available in the US, known as the A6GX Series TVs, but they're different because they use a different operating system. In Canada, this model is the Hisense A68G, and the results are also valid for it. As Hisense's lineup differs in other countries, the results aren't valid for any similarly-named models internationally. Size We tested the 65-inch Hisense A6G, and the results are also valid for the 43-inch model (Hisense 43A6G), the 55-inch model (Hisense 55A6G), and the 75-inch model (Hisense 75A6G). The 50-inch (Hisense 50A6G), 60-inch (Hisense 60A6G), 70-inch (Hisense 70A6G), and 85-inch (Hisense 85A6G) models are a bit different, as they use a different panel type from the 65-inch we've tested, so the results from this review aren't valid for those models. This Hisense smart TV is equipped with Wi-Fi and a range of built in apps. Choose from content across various on-demand platforms, including BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, and more. Plus, with Freeview Play, you’ll also have access to over 40,000 hours of on-demand TV and 700+ box sets all in one place.

Ultimate Viewing Experience

Hisense has included Dolby Vision support, and it’s with less capable displays like the A6G’s that the format’s dynamic metadata really shows its benefits. It allows HDR content to be mapped more precisely to the display’s capabilities, and watching exactly the same test material in Dolby Vision reveals HDR images free of any clipping and with saturated but natural-looking colours. Content” means all audio and visual elements and ideas offered by us or third parties, including but not limited to, data, movies, videos, photographs, software, games, designs, likenesses, artwork, images, music, sound, information and other materials, tangible and intangible, including derivative works, on all media and formats, existing or in future.
