To start off with its not entirely my favourite genre of book - maybe with whats going on in the world I wanted to escape, and escape I did. I am not much for soppy and romance but I was somehow drawn to this book and lets say it did not disappoint. The story is of Callie and Joel and how they meet and he knows when she is going to die. It’s a story where I kept hoping it would go the way that I personally wanted it to. I never at any point stopped rooting for Joel and Callie. I am too lazy to wake up early to wish you, so take all my wishes right now, good night and also a very good morning to you. We then find out what Joel's secret is. I personally did not want to know in advance what it was (but it is listed in the book blurb). But it has to do with dreams.Joel has an unusual condition where he sees future events , as a hard headed realist, I could not get my head around that at first, but as the book moved on I loved the way that the story unfolded about the impact this had on his life and loves . The story didn't go how I would have wanted but that is what makes this book, life doesnt always pan out in the way we expect . Such a well written book this is a romance story with a difference and I bet will be turned into a movie. The Sight of You excels because of its ensemble of strong robust characters and the paranormal elements that drive the narrative. I loved reading this book, it was gripping. I felt that the plot is very original and equally well written. You can see the dilemmas the characters face as they fall hard but the future hangs over their heads. Since he was a child he's been haunted by dreams about the people he loves. Visions of what's going to happen - the good and the bad. And the only way to prevent them is to never let anyone close to him again.
