The Ostrich effect is a behavioral phenomenon. When in danger, the ostrich hides its head in the sand. In dangerous situations, people behave similarly. We do this to avoid unpleasant situations, but reality will soon catch up to us. As painful as it is, confront reality in all aspects of your personal and professional life. I've given this one four stars but could easily have been 3 stars. Overall, I enjoyed reading the book. It's well written and well organised, and if you're a fan of the Diary of a CEO podcast, then the themes will feel familiar.

Each lesson is fairly short, but it is not simplified or shortened to the point of being too simplistic. I have been a fan of Steven and the podcast for a while. I can agree that this book should have been his first book and also agree that he couldn’t have written this book with the knowledge he had when writing his first.
