The way an infrared heater warms up a space is by emitting electromagnetic waves into the air that heat up the physical objects that are present. The process is similar to how the sun uses radiation to heat up the Earth.

Since oil filled space heaters use an internal fluid to heat up a large exterior metal surface, a fan cannot be used in these heaters to help distribute the heat. The heat can only radiate off of the unit through the process of convection. However, they differ in terms of their heat distribution and coverage area. This article will compare and contrast parabolic heaters and space heaters, enabling you to choose the one that suits your heating needs the best. So, let’s dive into the details and explore the features, benefits, and energy efficiency of these two types of heaters. A space heater is a portable device used to heat a specific area or room. It works by using various heating elements, such as electric coils or ceramic discs, to generate heat which is then dispersed into the surrounding area to provide warmth. Which One Is More Energy-Efficient: Parabolic Heater Or Space Heater? It provides super concentrated heat to keep you much warmer than 1500 watt convection heaters. Instead of warming up the air, infrared heater types heat up the objects (e.g. furniture, carpeting, wall) and human bodies that are around it. Top-mounted thermostatic control provides an infinite range of heat settings. Maintains the desired temperature automatically.

Parabolic heaters provide focused warmth, making them ideal for outdoor activities or spot heating indoors. Space heaters, on the other hand, are better suited for warming entire rooms or offices. Parabolic heaters boast features like portability, instant heat, and energy efficiency, while space heaters offer safety features, such as tip-over protection and overheat protection.Since propane space heaters use fuel, this makes them the most portable space heaters you can buy. They’re not limited by constraints of a power cord and can operate even if the electricity goes out in your home. Yes, parabolic heaters are generally safer to use than space heaters. Their design and construction minimize the risk of accidental burns or fires. However, it is still important to follow proper safety precautions and guidelines when using any type of heater. Can A Parabolic Heater Heat A Larger Room? While a panel space heater may seem like the best type to buy, the truth is that many of these heaters are best used to take the chill out of a room, not heat it up entirely.
