About this deal

Transparency is at the heart of Mumsnet, and that's why we work hard to provide unbiased, independent advice our readers can trust. But don’t just take our word for it. We’ve rounded up verdicts from just some of the parents who’ve used Fairy Non Bio for their family's laundry. 1. It’s kind to babies’ skin All supermarket own-brand laundry stuff has been cruelty-free for years. The Co-op was the first to adopt it… If you want eco-friendly too, or just don’t fancy own brand, then Bio D and Attitude are both good. And both are vegan.” (Suggested by Mumsnet user YouGotThisKeepGoing) Our verdict

One bag should be enough for 50 washes the capsules are boosted with biodegradable ingredients and plant-based stain removers.I’ve always been drawn to Fairy as a brand because they are suitable for sensitive skin. The brand behind these pods said: “Fairy Non Bio pods gently clean and wrap your family’s delicate skin in huggable softness. Dermatologically accredited, the Fairy Non Bio range has been awarded the Skin Health Alliance seal. Other pods, such as the Fairy Non-Bio Pods, do not contain fabric softener, so you may wish to add it to your wash. The cap on the laundry liquid is handy for removing stains too - I was sceptical but it did seem to help. The in-wash scent boosters had luxurious scents of almond milk and manuka honey and ensures clothes stay fresh for up to 12 weeks in storage. I also tried the Fairy Outdoorable fabric softener which is designed to give you the freshness of drying outside even when drying clothing inside. I find the same, and I've had many washing machines over the years. I can smell [the fabric softener] when I bring the wet clothes out of the machine, but once they are dry, I don't smell anything. Then I tried Lenor Burst of Sunshine. It has a lovely scent that lasts for ages.” (Loved by Mumsnet user PivotPivotPivottt) Our verdict

These pods also smelt amazing and I loved that the brand sells a fabric softener as well as scent boosters in the same range, meaning my clothes had an incredible fragrance to them. In the case of the Persil 3-in-1 Colour Protect Capsules, for example, a standard soiled load of washing that weighs between 3 and 5 kg in an area with soft or medium water will achieve great results with just the one pod. The Fairy pods will fully dissolve at any temperature and so will be equally effective when run through a cold wash cycle as they would in a warm one. This is a great option as putting your clothes in a cold wash cycle can make a big difference in your carbon footprint.

How to wash your baby's clothes

Finding products that don’t irritate sensitive skin can be a lengthy (and painful) case of trial and error that results in carefully swapping between products for different family members adding hours to your laundry routine. However, that needn’t be the case with Surcare Sensitive. To be honest the only thing I liked was the dosing cap that came with the bottle! I found the detergent was not great at removing stains, and didn’t leave a particularly good fragrance on the clothes. The fabric softener seemed watered down and again didn’t make the clothes smell nice and fresh.
