About this deal

This book is sort of like “the big four” by Agatha Christie!! Thank you so much Ms Stevens for this amazing series. I hope to see Daisy AND Hazel in the future!! I am happy we will see them but I hope we see quite a bit of them because they are the OG detective society!?? And we all have to admit however much we might love May Wong we will always love Daisy and Hazel a little bit more!? Sorry, my battery on the computer is running low so I did not have time to correct the spelling mistakes!!!!!!!!!! But while your writing MOUA, (lol) what will you update us on? Will you write a lil book? BECAUSE I DONT THINK ILL BE ABLE TO WAIT 2. YEARS. I’ll be the same age as daisy and hazel in the last book so- P.S Robin Stevens I would just like to say a big thank you for making my 3 years of reading your books the best of my life! Your my favorite author and I was heartbroken when I heard this is The detective society’s last case… Hi Robin! Congratulations! ‘Death Sets Sail’ was amazing and I am so happy that so many people are reading it!

Blue Alexander Arcady is a student at Weston Boys' School and a member of the Junior Pinkertons. He is a friend of Daisy Wells, Hazel Wong and George Mukherjee. He first appears in the book First Class Murder. To celebrate A Spoonful of Murder, my publishers Puffin have created a fun extra game for Detective Society members: a special Murder Most Unladylike quiz, where you get to join Daisy and Hazel and solve a mystery! I cried sooo hard when Hazel started talking about her dream and went to tell Daisy about it. I cheered when we found out that Daisy was alive. Is it just me or does Aunt Lucy suddenly make everything better?! Oh my gosh Robin this is amazing! You have worked so hard for all of this to happen, you deserve this more than anyone. Towards the end of the book, Hazel and Daisy come across an old notebook, which turns out to be the diary of another character Verity Abraham, the girl who was rumored in the story to have committed suicide by jumping off the Gym balcony the term before Hazel arrived . The diary serves as evidence that Miss Griffin, the headmistress has spoken to her a few weeks ago and informed her that she was Verity's true mother and that Mr. and Mrs. Abraham had adopted her. Miss Griffin had become an unmarried mother, which at the time was not considered normal and would have affected her chances of becoming headmistress. Verity forbids this fact, but Miss Griffin then provides her with evidence of her birth and the adoption, too. Then, she asks Verity to join her as her daughter, but Verity denies it and says Mr. and Mrs. Abraham are her parents. Afterwards, Verity had received a note from Miss Griffin, which was found in the diary. Then, after she met Miss Griffin, she disappeared, which was when Verity was said to have committed suicide. Following this, there is a note proving who the murderer is at the end, written by Miss Bell. Miss Griffin would have disposed of it if not for Miss Bell hiding it.I just have so many memories as a kid, reading series and just not knowing what’s going to happen next and being so immersed in those books. And I want to give that to my readers.” And then I wrote the final chapter and I cried; I’ve cried every time I’ve read the end of the book. [But] I really wanted to end the series. I thought it was the right time to do it. The girls are growing up, they're no longer like little kids anymore in the way they were when the series began. It's just it felt like the right time, for them and for the story. But I've been writing these books for 10 years now, a third of my life pretty much. And [writing the final book] felt like saying goodbye to friends; like the end of an era, so massively emotional.”

Same! At the start of the series I wanted daisy and hazel to get together but when Alexander was introduced I realised that wouldn’t work. Also after seeing daisy and Amina together I found them a great couple. Aunt Lucy’s really nice too – in Arsenic for tea she seems mean, but as soon as she marries Uncle Felix, I feel like she finally shows Daisy and Hazel her nice side. well it said in the story that Daisy still being alive has to be kept a secret because she could work undercover with nobody suspecting her to be alive. I don’t think Deepdean would accept Daisy becoming an undercover agent. This is amazing, Robin! DSS is completely deserving of this, it’s so clever and exciting! This is no surprise as the books really are SO good! I’ve been reading and re-reading my copy ever since I got it, and there is absolutely no doubt that Daisy and Hazel’s final book went out with a bang. Congratulations!

It was definitely a fitting ending to the series, and I can’t wait to see what May gets up to in MOUA!! Oh wow, thank you Emma!
