I understand that probably one of the characters we meet is going to be the villain just because of how they act but that doesn't mean that it is satisfying to make them nothing more than a cut out of a domineering woman who calls our hero a dog, treats him like a dog, and acts in mysterious ways because she's mysterious. It doesn't make her a commanding character, it just makes her sound whiny and self-important, even more so because we don't know her job, her powers, her fighting skills, really anything about her except she's pretty and our hero likes pretty. If you've already watched the anime, the first volume here is virtually identical sans a few minor styling choices and seems to cover episodes 1-3 (well, up to 3/4s of the third episode). So, heavy themes and violence aren't a problem. As a side note, representing one of two female characters as a terrible person who is willing to use her power (in Denji's case, of seduction) over a male character and threatening to kill him if he doesn't comply isn't cool. Female characters don't have to be perfect or damsels, but at least have a decent rep of other female characters before you choose to do this with one of the only female characters you have.
