About this deal

In a room where you spend a lot of time, such as your bedroom or living room.Your sensor will then be able to tell your thermostat to change the temperature based on the room where you are. On the Nest app: Tap on the Thermostat circle > Tap on the Settings cog in the top right corner of the screen > Scroll down to Safety Temperature in the Options section > Temperature units > Choose Fahrenheit or Celsius. Whenever the sensor is active, your thermostatuses your sensor's reading to control when your system turns on and off. Your thermostatignores its own built-in temperature sensor during those times.

Same here, been using it for 4 years and since yesterday the temperature reading is too high. So I’m cold as it doesn’t turn on to heat.

Nope! The Nest Temperature Sensor connects to your Nest using Bluetooth and has a range up to 15 meters (about 50 feet). That measurement is in a straight line that can go through walls or floors so you'll probably be good unless you have a very large house. Sometimes house wiring can monkey with Bluetooth and shorten its range, but those issues are relatively rare. How many Temperature Sensors can I use? On the Nest app: Tap on the Thermostat circle > Tap on the Settings cog in the top right > Tap on Home/Away Assist > Toggle Automatically use Eco temperatures on if you want to save energy automatically. Ultrasonic sensors use sound waves to measure distance to an object and can be used to detect when someone is near a device. Before taking any unnecessary action, it may be an idea to first move the thermostat to another location to see if it works there. There may just be some strange atmospheric conditions in the particular place that you have installed it. If that hasn’t done anything, we would net suggest that you restart the device. We have published this sensors guide as part of these commitments. We will continue to periodically update this sensors guide to add new devices, features and services, reflect changes to our existing offerings, or where applicable, provide additional details and information.

Google Home, Google Home Mini, Google Nest Mini, Google Home Max, Google Nest Audio, Google Nest Hub, Google Nest Hub (2nd gen), Google Nest Hub Max, Google Nest Wifi point, Chromecast with Google TV, Google Chromecast Voice Remote, Nest Temperature Sensor, Nest Learning Thermostat, Nest Thermostat E, Nest Thermostat, Nest Cam (battery), Nest Cam with floodlight, Nest Cam (indoor, wired), Nest Doorbell (battery), Nest Doorbell (wired, 1st gen), Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen) In a partly or completely enclosed location where the air may not circulate enough. Magnetometers (also commonly referred to as magnetic sensors) measure the strength of and changes to a magnetic field. When used for device control, a magnetometer can detect the position of an object based on changes to the magnetic field when the object is moved. The Nest Temperature Sensor is currently compatible with thermostats designed for use in one of the following countries: The Nest Thermostat has a feature called Farsight on board that will display one of a number of options when you are nearby. This feature can also be turned off so the Thermostat's display only comes on if you approach it, or off entirely until you press it. Google's connected home devices and services rely on cameras, microphones and other sensors to provide helpful features and services. These sensors can detect things like motion and sound to protect your home and loved ones, and make your lives more convenient and comfortable. And while they make our connected home devices more useful, we understand that you, your family and your friends need to trust that we'll handle your data responsibly.

The sensor has a rubber foot on the bottom so it will sit on a flat surface, like a shelf, without sliding around. Option 2: Mount it on a wall Detect the presence of a device tag on another compatible Bluetooth-enabled device (such as letting you use Tile with your Google Home smart speaker) so that you can set up and enable various integrated features.Within a maximum of 50 feet (15 m) of your thermostat, so the sensor and thermostat can communicate wirelessly. You may need to place them closer together because the wireless range can be reduced by walls, floors, appliances, furniture and other electronics. Unfortunately, this is all that can be done to diagnose the issue without a higher level of expertise. However, we would not recommend taking anything apart unless you are absolutely confident that you know what you are doing. You can then adjust the temperature by pressing and holding the added circle and moving it up or down. I bought on in the NY Google Store and tried it at home (Netherlands) because I just wanted to try it.
