Funny enough growing up I hated the Hellsing anime. But for some reason I was compelled to give this Deluxe Edition manga a try. Is it better? Yes. Is it still stupid? Very much so. I actually kind of enjoyed reading the Deluxe Volume one. It was kind of fun, even though it had a pretty mediocre story.The vampire Alucard is ancient and powerful, a vampire “in the prime of his life. All he’s interested in is finding a truly powerful opponent. To kill and die – what other entertainment could there be in an immortal life? And the Hellsing organization, whose members are dedicated to fighting the creatures of darkness like him. What could possibly bind them but a desire to destroy each other?
