About this deal

What happens if a call comes in? Presumably because the phone is Bluetoothed to the adapter, it will no longer be linked to the car system. So although you may be able to hear the call, what microphone (if any) would work?

A plug-and-play wireless Bluetooth music adapter designed for car factory fitted iPod kits as well as aftermarket in-car iPod integrations. Instead of manually plugging the iPod into the connector every time you enter the car, you instead connect our device to the original iPod 30-pin connector. It is then left in the car permanently connected to the original iPod cable. Advanced wireless music technology powered by high quality CSR BlueCore5 Bluetooth module enables it to flawlessly communicate with Apple's iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Streams music from Android, Apple, and Windows devices. I tried the Bovee1000 in my 2014 458 with factory iPod (30 pin connector) and it worked with my iPhone X with no problem at all. I connected a Bovee 1000 BT adapter to my 2013 XK yesterday and basically it worked fine. But only for transmitting the sound, I was not able to control it via the touch screen and it does not show any titles, etc. on the screen. The message on the screen says "Connect IPod". I use it with an IPhone Xs.set the volume on your iPhone to max. Otherwise you are reducing resolution (digital volume control)

Clear (forget) the device from iPhone after the phone has connected with device, then turn off the Bluetooth of the phone. Jaguar Owners Club have a stand at this years Simply Jaguar event at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hampshire on Sunday 26th June 2023 Please Note: The device will work with most cars that have 30 pin iPod integration kits. The easiest way to know for sure is to physically plug an iPod into your cars 30 pin cable. If it works then one of our devices can usually extend your iPod integration with Bluetooth capabilities.Steering controls and library support only supported for Apple devices. Music Streaming is compatible with all Bluetooth capable smart phones. After some more research I think I've figured out the issue and it comes down to how the device is powered. At some point around 2008 Apple changed the way their 30 pin devices charge - from FireWire 12 volt to USB 5 volt. The issue I was having that affected both the invery and the bovee I think is iPhone specific - namely - it all works fine, phone calls go to the PCM, music goes to the adapter, but there is some interaction, and the music audio drops and sometimes the adapter resets and the car thinks the ipod went away - it's solved by disabling the Bluetooth phone side on the pcm - but then you lose that feature ( I don't use it often - but I like things to work as well as they can ) - so I went to a wired solution which works for iPhone with the right adapter but likely wouldn't work at all for Android)

I also found that if you are able to get the ipod input selected, if you then change out of ipod, it will no longer recognize / give you that option, and you have to restart the Bovee connection process again If you don't already have the Y Cable that gives the 30 pin "old style ipod" connector - you can also use something like this wild guess based on some Experience and bit of understanding of how Bluetooth profiles work i would guess that android is always going to be “just sound“ when hooked up to the PCM 3

So as near as I can tell this works by setting up a virtual iPod interface to a Bluetooth connection. It won’t use Bluetooth on your car. Bluetooth is only from the iPhone to the Bovee. The later is not needed if you only want to play music I guess, as the songs comes up on the right screen you should be able to switch songs using the buttons in the steering wheel.Much appreciation for you assistance and effort. For anyone looking for an upgrade, I am pretty happy.with this combo. I have a Bose system and sound is.spot on with no interference. Well, I finally upgraded my i-phone 8 to a 12. I have discovered that I no longer have to turn blue tooth off and on again to get the streaming to work. It sinks right up like it was supposed to right away. According to a post on another forum, the version with part number 8E0857925G (or H for the RNS-E) was when Audi updated their tech and this happened around 2009, meaning my 2007 8E0857925C part would have the older connector. Is anyone using a similar configuration (also maybe another IPhone) and everything works well? Or any ideas what I am doing wrong?

However, you MUST have an ipod interface already available on your car. Can’t plug into a usb connector as near as I can tell. I suggest not Bluetooth pairing the iPhone to the car when you are using this either. Only this connection. The factory Bluetooth fitment was for phone calls only and so you're not missing much by not having it. Cars without it still had the steering wheel button for phone calls. Some cars have no steering wheel controls as they were an option. My friend has confirmed that it works in his 458 and he found a longer cable of the lightning to 30 pin cable-adapter which I will give a go in a couple of weeks when I take the car out from her winter-sleep.Owners of electrified Jaguar and Land Rover models will be able to charge their vehicles at home with unrivalled style thanks to a new agreement with fellow British company Andersen EV. I have been around the loop on this with my setup. And I have gone to a wired solution ( happy to share/bore with the details if you want ) Go into waze settings voice and sound (play sound output) device default will play through car speakers but sound is to quiet and when turned up the music is too loud so I have WAZE on play through phone speaker music fades and can hear directions through phone this is my set up. Compatible with Audi AMI, Mercedes Media Interface and VW MDI or any other cars with the original or aftermarket iPod integration installed that has a 30 pin iPod connector . Supports Airplay and A2DP Bluetooth music streaming protocol When the Bovee 1000 is correctly paired to the 6112 you should see it state "connected" when observing through your settings/bluetooth option within your personal phone right after ign key is cycled to position 2
