Glue: We prefer Elmer’s regular white glue for most of our slime recipes because it is quality PVA glue. Dollar store glue or other brands of glue may not work as well. We also like to stay away from Elmer’s Glue All or natural brands. Slime is a science experiment and should be made and played with in moderation. Do not allow children to make their own slime and do not play with slime for an extended period of time.

Third, it has a smooth, rich, and silky feeling texture!If you use a different brand of glue it’s possible it will still work, but we can’t guarantee that your slime will work properly with the measurements used in our recipe. As you stir the mixture with a spoon, it should start to solidify a little, but a single tablespoon may not be enough to fully activate your slime. We always recommend using Elmer’s School Glue to make slime. It works consistently to make great slime, and we know we’ll get the results we want. This butter slime is so fun to play with! Once I’ve added the initial tablespoon, I usually add one small squirt at a time, mixing well between each addition.
