This is one of the larger stove fans we have on review, having said that it’s hardly big at 203mm x 178mm. But with its size comes fantastic heat displacement. It can displace 420 feet of air around the room every minute!
So why do you need a stove fan? You have gone to the expense of having a wood-burning stove fitted, it looks amazing smells amazing and provides a ridiculous amount of heat for your lounge and house. What’s the issue?
If you are just burning seasoned wood on your fire, then you only need to have your chimney swept once a year.
Without a stove fan, there is a risk that all of the warmed air will stay close the the wood stove and won’t be felt in other parts of the room. When placing the stove fan on top of your wood stove, i t needs to be as far away from the flue pipe as possible and on a level surface. Already, this may limit the amount of space you have available for a stove fan, even before taking headroom into account. Regular maintenance is also essential to keep your chimney fan operating optimally. This includes periodic cleaning of the fan blades, inspection of electrical connections, and replacement of worn-out components as needed.
