About this deal

All coatings have a limited shelf life due to the chemical nature of how they crystallize. Look to use coatings within 4-6 months of receiving them. Q² Can Coat EVO offers more durable performance, improved visual enhancement and hydrophobic properties - all thanks to the updated EVO formula. It remains as easy to apply as it used to, now featuring even easier wipe off. EASY & EFFICIENT Q² CanCoat EVO is the easiest coating to apply you will experience. It is also the best value for money product to protect or maintain your ceramic coated car. Its 200ml allows you to coat or re-apply it over 10 to 15 times! Outdoor Friendly. Meaning it can be applied outside but not in direct sun and avoid wet wet weather for the first 24 hours as it will affect the cure time (ie dew, rain). This will be a big hit for those that don't have access to a garage as it applies to all of the Gyeon coatings. One thing mentioned in the included maintenance book, is to apply Gyeon Cure as a precaution if planning to leave it outside.

Problems I noticed. It clogges the sprayer so I suggest you rinse the sprayer after every use and after every layering. Heat up some water (or use APC or paint prep product) and pour it in a cup or a plastic cup and use that to remove product from the sprayer head. This will help but some dry product may still be left behind to clogg the sprayer head. Nice write up Zach. CanCoat is a great product. Probably my favorite protection from the current Gyeon line. That includes Gyeon Syncro which has been underwhelming for me. But that is another story for another time. CanCoat is quite versatile and for me it exceeded the longevity and durability claims which Gyeon claims to be roughly 6-9 months.

Application

In situations where it's not practical or possible to leave the car for 24 hours before applying the coating (which is certainly the case when working outside), then a Prep wipe down becomes strictly necessary (otherwise the coating won't bond properly to still curing SiO2 components). And, as you guessed, this does reduce the benefits of using Primer in the first place (personally I would only ever choose to use Primer when working indoors). Thus, in your case it might be better to use Polish instead, and simply go Polish > Prep > CanCoat (assuming the paint needs minor refinement before the coating is applied - if not then just go with Prep > CanCoat). I share most of my thoughts in the video but the ease of application and user experience is the same with CanCaot Evo. I always enjoyed the durability of the previous version so having more is a plus while keeping the overall user experience the same. It will more than likely exceed that up to 12 month durability claim.

One thing that is interesting is that CanCoat does indeed harden but it hardens into a white powdered silica which is cool. It can be seen in the sprayer as well. I know many have had issues with the sprayers fail even after rinsing but for me I am still on the original sprayer. I rinse it with hot water and pump hot water through it. However, I have discovered a more effective way of applying the product which improves the performance and durability. Here’s how: Method 2 Gyeon Q² Can Coat EVO is the easiest coating to apply you will experience. It is also the best value for money product to protect or maintain your ceramic coated car. Its 200ml size allows you to coat or re-apply it over 10 to 15 times! I have applied it outside with some issues on top panels (roof, hood) acting a bit worn off after a short period of time. Side panels were fine. Issue is its been applied in late fall with low temps and humid enviroment. It doesnt take long to cure (about 3h) but I still advise you do 2-3 coats on these panels and wait for warmer weather to do so or keep it in a garage if you can.Highlights from their range for us include Can Coat possibly the easiest to use ceramic coating on the market, perfect for all paint & wheels. Gyeon Wet Coat, that revolutionised the spray on wet market, making paintwork protection ridiculously easy. Gyeon Tire is also amongst our favourite tyre dressings, SiO2 based it lasts the longest and gives a deep wet gloss. Really there aren't any products in the entire Gyeon range we wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Gyeon claims that Can Coat should be fully cured within 24 hours and it is best to avoid strong chemicals during the first week after application. Can Coat may be topped with Gyeon Cure if you wish. I recommend removing the sprayer from the bottle and cleaning it out with water after each use so you can re-use it. Store the bottle in a cool area with the cap secured in between uses.

As a first foray into ceramic coatings, I thought I would try applying Gyeon Can Coat to my 6 year old car.We are the UK distributors for GYEON Quartz, who are a formulator and manufacturer of advanced, quartz based protection and maintenance products. I used the paint cleanser then machine polish and then paint cleanser again followed with a diluted IPA wipe down > then can coat Gyeon Q2 Can Coat EVO is an increibly easy to use spray coating, simply spray onto the attached microfibre and wipe until you achieve full gloss. Now in its EVO form to provide you with a more durable yet easy to apply SiO2 based coating. I’ve discovered that Can Coat is a bit of a unique product. In my opinion, it falls somewhere between the two categories. Can coat claims to provide many of the benefits of a true coating such as strong protection against chemicals, environmental contaminants, and UV rays, however it does not offer the same durability that most coatings can provide. Can Coat is like a more potent version of a spray sealant such as Gyeon Cure, but a less potent version of a coating like Gyeon Mohs. Can Coat may be applied on top of an existing coating or as a stand alone layer of protection.
