About this deal

Power is a huge part of the modern golf game, whether you’re a professional or an amateur, and FootJoy’s Optiflex outsole provides the perfect balance of the flexibility needed for walking and the stability in the golf swing needed to maximise power. Slip on a pair of the new Hyperflex carbon shoes, and you’ll also benefit from a power plate made from moulded carbon fire that delivers Tour-level performance and stability. An OrthoLite Impressions FitBed also optimises underfoot cushioning. Here are a few more reasons to treat yourself to a new pair of Hyperflex or Hyperflex Carbon golf shoes this spring.

Last year’s HyperFlex BOA took the crown as the most comfortable spiked shoe of 2022. Can the new HyperFlex match that same energy? Time will tell. Anything Else?

At The Golf Shop Online, we are dedicated to offering you the most competitive prices. We continually compare our prices with those of our competitors to ensure you receive the best possible deal. In the rare event that you find a lower price elsewhere, we even provide a price promise* to further enhance your shopping experience. StratoFoam was developed specifically for golf to absorb and return the maximum amount of energy. As with any cushion designated to maximize energy return, the foam is slightly on the firmer side. Enjoy support and stability the moment you set foot on the course with Softspike’s Pulsar LP cleats.

Finally, as expected from FootJoy, the HyperFlex Carbon does have a very tall, traditional heel. If you’re a longtime FootJoy wearer, this will feel very natural. However, if you’re used to natural motion shoes, this will be an adjustment. Just as with clubs, there’s not a right or wrong on heel drop, but you need to find what’s comfortable for you. The technology is there and the claims are bold. Can the HyperFlex and HyperFlex Carbongolf shoes live up to to the hype? You’ll be the first to know. Most of the shoes will clean really easily with a damp towel, but you may find the knitted bootie tough to clean as it isn’t waterproof and will just absorb water and mud. The upper of the Hyperflex shoe is made from a high performance engineered mesh with TPU yarns that combines with a soft and comfortable athletic waterproof knit upper to deliver incredible retention properties, while providing waterproof protection. The OptiFlex Outsole provides lightweight stability and performance & the Pulsar LP Cleats by Softspikes provide stability and support from the moment you step foot onto the course. I tried the HyperFlex with the BOA system which you can see above. I’m often not a fan of BOA golf shoes as I’ve found them to be restricting and uncomfortable. So I was very skeptical about these, but I can certainly say they were great. The BOA system is internal and only has a small amount showing where it tightens the strap, I believe this is why I found them to be so secure as the BOA tightens with the straps rather than the laces themselves. We’d all love to add more control to our golf swing, and the Power Stabiliser outsole creates a secure foundation by harnessing any lateral movement. The new FootJoy Hyperflex golf shoes also have ThermoPlastic saddle straps that provide medial and lateral support. Thanks to the soft spikes the grip was exceptional on the course, but I would say maybe too good. Before my first round, I was on the driving range and struggled to get my feet turning through my swing as they gripped the mat too well, which I thought could have hurt after more and more swinging, however on the course and with some give in the ground they worked wonderfully. A few years ago, I had a FootJoy shoe fitting where the shoe professional told me I had been wearing the wrong-sized shoes my whole golfing career, and he sized me down dramatically. I now wear a minuscule EU 39, which is a whole size smaller than I wear in other brands shoes, but they fit me perfectly. The molded carbon fiber “power plate” should make the HyperFlex Carbon more stable, thanks to added rigidity in the midsection of the foot bed. Carbon fiber plates aren’t new to footwear (distance running shoes take advantage of the same stiffening and energy return properties) but they are still fairly new to golf shoes. The HyperFlex Carbon is undoubtedly not the first shoe to feature this technology and it surely won’t be the last. However, this is the first time FootJoy has outfitted the popular HyperFlex with carbon fiber.

Stability is good, sure … but if a golf shoe isn’t comfortable? Forget about it. The FootJoy HyperFlex lineup relies on the brand’s proprietary StratoFoam for underfoot comfort.

FootJoys new FootJoy HyperFlex Shoes are a performance golf shoe loaded with features, benefits, and modern construction technology. The result, an incredibly stable, Tour proven shoe that offers the ultimate in-step comfort. The HyperFlex family of golf shoes features FootJoy’s OptiFlex outsole that’s been bolstered by six traction cleats. The OptiFlex outsole was designed with flex (or relief) points that move with your foot as you walk. This makes walking not only feel more natural but comfortable as well.
