No, rain won’t matter. Sand is heavier than water and when it is in the joint it will stay there unless you have a torrent of water coming off of a roof that by sheer force is pounding it out of the joint.Additionally, ensure the project has a suitable “fall” to allow surface water to drain away. Base Mix Do not use a pressure washer on the paving for at least 4 weeks after EASY Joint’s application. It is also worth pointing out that because dirty surface water can drain through the joint, over time it will result in a visual change to the EASYJoint colour. This is entirely natural; it is not a fault and it will not impair the integrity of the product. Cold and wet conditions increase the setting time considerably. Freezing weather will cause the process to virtually cease and it can take many days for the joints to set hard. Freezing conditions are not always problematic for EASYJoint, however the volume of water used during the application process can potentially freeze. In this instance the particles within the grout mix won’t settle into the joints evenly due to the presence of ice and potentially lead to longer term problems. Mildew is a fungus and will grow anywhere it has enough moisture. Mildew can easily be cleaned off. It doesn’t grow into the joint compound but rather on it. Moss isn’t an issue. It requires media for the roots, and EASY Joint doesn’t soften to give it that opportunity.

Top Up. Use more EASYJoint to top up any low areas, repeating the washing process as described previously.
