About this deal

As we continued to move on, a new concept of evolve was introduced. While in theory this mechanic is awesome and throughout the game there were some cases where I liked how they used evolve, there were others that seemed odd. In one case, a card would evolve just from not eliminating it and it having time to grow. This made thematic sense and it was cool to see the larvae turn into something bigger and grow. It added weight to my choices about what to focus on. There were some evolve cards however, which felt so generic and put a bad taste in my mouth immediately. When a card is flipped over and says, “If this is Chapter 4 evolve this card” it breaks the immersion. There are other ways that this could have been handled such as saying “if boss xyz was defeated then evolve this card”. This would give a flow and then when the new card came out the story would continue. This is not the Legacy version of the game, rather, just the cards that come with it. I do not have a reset kit and have already played through Legacy. All base games are here, Aeon's End, War Eternal, Legacy, The New Age, Outcasts, Legacy of Gravehold and Past & Future. Welcome to Gravehold. Yes, it's as bad as it sounds. This is the last bastion of humanity, protected only by a group of 'Breach Mages'. You are a student of the craft, and your magic skills are... to put it kindly, like being caressed by a natural yoghurt. (Wow so many Mighty Boosh references lately). The Nameless won't stop coming. They want nothing more than to wipe you out and destroy your pitiful settlement. Only you haven't finished all your lessons. You'll have to learn by doing. This is Matt, the editor of Board Game Halv and I thought it would be a fun challenge to attempt the entire campaign in one sitting and stream the entire thing on Twitch to keep me honest. This is the spoiler-free (as much as possible) recap of my survival story.

I played solo for the campaign, which works in almost exactly the same way as it would for anything up to four players. I really recommend Aeon’s End Legacy for solo players. The way the story changes how you play the way the game changes with every chapter is really good. I can safely say without ruining too much that the way my box, cards and character now will almost certainly be different to anyone else who ventures through the campaign. Outcasts adds some interesting new flavour to the mix, from a new mage, Taqren, who triggers benefits for allies every time he takes a punch, to the ‘wandering’ keyword which reduces all damage done to a minion to one. Other minions are similarly immune, only being able to be damaged by spells over or under a certain value. In this review I will be including information up until the end of chapter one of the campaign. My intention is to provide an overview without spoiling as much as possible, but there will be imagery of some of the box contents, as well as some of the cards and other materials present in the first chapter of the campaign. Please proceed at your own discretion. Set-up & Gameplay The game is being published by Indie Boards & Cards, the studio behind the original Aeon’s End as well as popular social deduction titles such as Coup, The Resistance and The Resistance: Avalon. Depending on how well you play, the campaign itself might be pretty short, but you can battle most of the Nameless with increased difficulty after the campaign is over. This game is climbing the charts for me. I am completely addicted. We play once and then immediately set it up for another game. I find myself at an awkward impasse with ending this review, so I’m going to summarise as best I can; Aeon’s End: Outcasts continues the Expedition system that was introduced in Aeon’s End: New Age, which allows players to replay all of the content they own in a short campaign format. After each game, players will receive new treasures and player cards that allow them to become more powerful. However, the nemeses that players will face grow stronger and... Gems (11): Darklite Sample, Nebula Shard, Scrying Sugilite, Starglass, Sunken Onyx, Cobalt Clump, Glint Splinter, Voidsteel Vein, Aether Dust, Frozen Light, Shattered Rupix Focus any player's breach or any ally preps a spell to one of their opened or closed breaches. Repeat this three times.

Like the cards says, stop now if you don’t want to read any spoliers Spoiler Central What’s In The Box? Because I found it very easy, I feel like I lost out on a lot of potential game. I never used the cool power that helps you in a re-fight, and I never saw probably half of the enemy cards. That’s not an exaggeration either. In a game that’s one shot and done, it’s a shame, even from the point of view of missing out on a lot of the artwork. Right off the bat, I believe that Aeon’s End: Legacy is the best method for teaching the system to a new player. The boiling down of your mages to their sum parts makes the clarification of terms and analogy minimal. It was effortless to teach the new player for our campaign how things worked as instructions came up, giving them the room to get used to the way in which the mechanics work, before linking in a new mechanic to add to their knowledge.

🙏 Relics (8): Echo Rune, Electrum Rod, Martyr's Bone, Chaos Charm, Summoner's Horn, Void Anchor, Lightbringer Staff, Phoenix Quill Harvest up to two cards in your hand or discard pile. Resolve the Harvest effects of these cards twice.

I don't want to spoil all the powers and cards for you, but trust me, they're great. Every time you kill one of the Nameless and move on, you'll be given more supply cards to swap in. This is one of the most generous legacy games ever, there's no drip-feeding here. It almost feels wasteful at times, we haven't used all of the cards we were offered. Az Aeon's End Legacy - Történetek a világvége utánról egy közepesen összetett társasjáték, 1 - 4 játékos részére, az átlagos játékidő 45 - 90 perc. A játékot 2019-ben jelölték a Golden Geek Awards díjára Legjobb kátyajáték kategóriában, illetve szintén ebben az évben jelölték a Golden Geek Awards díjára is Legjobb kooperatív játék kategóriában. A társast, a bonyolultsága miatt, csak 14 éves kortól ajánljuk kipróbálni. Kooperatív jellegű, a játékmenet erősen épít a váltakozó képességek, a pakli tervezés, a kártya húzás, a váltakozó fázisok és a pakli építés mechanizmusokra.

Aki teheti ne a magyar változatot vegye ebből a játékból!! (nekem ez volt az utolsó magyar fordítású játék a gém klubtól) Great job by the designers in not just being creative and great in the story and effects of the stand alone game, but also being creative in how to push the boundaries of board games to make for a cool experience. Even though the Aeon’s End Legacy Campaign had me playing for 12 hours, I was always interested on the edge of my seat with everything flowing wonderfully. The strength on all fronts is what puts this one on the Best Legacy Board Games list. Thumbs up! Description and summary of what the set is about. If there are any main themes, game modes, etc. this part will mention them. Sajnos vagy szerencsére' mi mindig valami akcióba futunk bele és ezért "tornyosulnak" nálunk játékok😀 This is one of the best cooperative games I've ever played, partly because it's tough. Every fight feels brutal, but not impossible. The Taste
