If I was her child I probably would have conspired against Emma too. No wonder her children turned out to be such cold spoiled brats! They probably had no love and were all from so many different dads they couldn't keep up with their family tree either. You take full responsibility for yourself I read it 30 years ago in my bookclub and I am currently re-reading it. I read the series, each about the next generation of the Harte family, and enjoyed them immensely, but each book stands alone with satisfying endings.
This helps them roll up their sleeves and get to work shaping their life the way they want it — without the excuses. 10. You’re not one to mindlessly follow the crowd There was even a movie based on this book, which was also well- received, but I have no memory of watching that either. My taste and interest changed many times over the years, and on many occasions I felt a pang of regret for missing out on so many great books in my teenage and young adult years- this book being one of them. To conclude:
My main concern with this book is that is does portray the addiction of someone who can have access to a range of healthcare solutions. Like the author, many addicts start their journey with self-medicating mental health care concerns. Unfortunately, the stigma of these mental health problems and the challenges of accessing healthcare solutions, result in a very different journey than the (on the surface) cool music journalist lifestyle shown here, especially for those in low socioeconomic communities. As a woman, it is essential for you to have some basic morals and principles to lead your life in a certain way. To be a woman of substance you need to have a stringent ideology and complete faith in your thinking. You should never do anything which your conscience doesn’t allow you. The world has seen women as one of the most vulnerable classes because women didn’t stand for what they want and they believe. So, if you want to be a woman of substance, you need to stand for your beliefs and this can only happen when you have a clear path to walk on! Woman of Substance Quotes:
