About this deal

When Brôkhyr aren’t required to fix up their League’s wargear, they strap into lumbering exo-frames and heft heavy weapons into battle. Bolt cannons and graviton blast cannons shred light and heavy infantry alike, while SP conversion beamers bore holes straight through the hardiest vehicles.* Hearthkyn Warriors Known as Living Ancestors, the Grimnyr use strange barrier tech to manipulate the immaterium and manifest deadly psychic powers. They are among the few privy to the Votann themselves, deciphering their wisdom and acting as something of a priesthood to their Kinbands.* Einhyr Champion This kit can also build a Kâhl of your own to lead the Oathband. This doughty overseer comes with a selection of heads, and can be armed with your choice of potent STC weapons , as well as a rampart crest or teleport crest. Grimnyr For each game, I would then select forces to deploy from this list, which grew in size as the campaign developed.

Enemy units gain Judgement tokens in a number of ways, from completing an action (how dare you!) to destroying a Votann unit (how VERY dare you!), while Kâhls can dole out extra tokens with their Grim Efficiency ability. This kit can alternatively be built as a standard Kâhl, a powerful leader for Kinhosts of any League.* Grimnyr In the table below, we’ve outlined the individual values of each kit in the box to give you an idea of what you save. The Einhyr Hearthguard are nothing short of the Leagues’ finest troops, protected by bulky exo-armour and carrying an array of powerful weapons . They have both the skills and equipment to tussle with the enemy’s best, emerging victorious in a hail of bolts and blades.* Brôkhyr Iron-masterMaster the tactics and technology of the Kin with this set of 50 Leagues of Votann datacards. They cover all the Core and Leagues of Votann Stratagems, as well as those unique to specific Leagues, and all the psychic powers available to the Grimnyr. No one will escape your judgement with these at hand. Cthonian Beserks: The little murder munchkins that could aren’t hitting quite as hard as they did on release in 9th edition. Their fight-on-death activates on a 4+ which makes it a lot less reliable, and Concussion Mauls don’t hit as reliably into hard targets now that toughness has scaled up and they’ve remained at strength 9. The Mole Launcher has some cute slowing effects but these only trigger on a 4+, and as you may have noticed, you’re already spending your life with this army trying to mitigate having to roll 4s as it is at the moment. I don’t think these are durable enough to cut it, though the fight-on-death does give you some kind of answer to Fight First at least. If you do run them, try them hopping out of Sagitaurs or Land Fortresses to break some heads. The Kinhost’s forges are tended by the Brôkhyr, a guild of master makers and menders. Iron-masters are the best of their kind, leading repair and recovery efforts on the battlefield aided by an entourage of Ironkyn and E-COG repair crews.* Brôkhyr Thunderkyn

Result: Draw. To declare a winner, we’d have to break into the Leagues’ secret vaults, and that’s not happening… yet… They aren’t all take and no give, either. Each Einhyr is equipped with a Volkanite Disintegrator and a shoulder-mounted grenade launcher, laying down a solid curtain of fire as they advance. Once the Einhyr Hearthguard join the melee, they’re just as formidable, lashing out with devastating concussion gauntlets. Returning from their long sojourn, the Leagues of Votann brought with them a refined new aesthetic. This new look mixed elements of detailed metalworking and rune-etching with advanced technology built from (more or less) uncorrupted STCs*. Unlike the Imperium, the Leagues of Votann have a vast repository of knowledge including valuable Standard Template Constructs stored in their Ancestor Cores – the Votann themselves .The Sons of Sanguinius can also get their Mark VI Shoulder Pads this week. Add the perfect finishing touch to your Blood Angels with these 10 resin shoulder pads, all marked with an elegant winged blood drop. Blood Angels MKVI Heads

Thunderkyn: Ballistic Skill 4+ really hurts these guys, but at 95 points they are cheap in three man squads for putting in reserves and using flexibly to either assist in secondary scoring or come on from a board edge and punk undefended targets (ideally both!). The Grav-Cannon is my gun of choice here, as it is a very flexible gun that works for a wide range of cases, with Blast, D6 shots, and Anti Vehicle 2+ at S5 AP 2 D2. 5 inch movement and 18 inch range means you need to use reserves and position carefully to get the best out of them – their ability to Overwatch on 5s means that if you don’t quite finish a target you’ve every chance of punking them when they try to do anything in your opponent’s turn. One of the best support units available to us at this time. Right, let’s talk combos! This is probably the best spot to chat about our best enhancements, and how you can utilise them in combination with some of the key stratagems. Let’s start with the Einhyr Hearthguard , who also wear suits of powerful exo-armour, albeit of a more refined nature. Can the industrious Ironheads of Necromunda stand up to the ancient technology of the Leagues of Votann? With this penalty, your Beserks will usually be hitting on a 4+. It’s no biggie, though – simply drop one Command point on Cyberstimm Infusion and you’ll have re-rolls aplenty.

Making the enemy strike last in combat is a massive advantage, and the Relic Aktôl’s Fortress allows you to apply this effect to an enemy unit within 3” of the bearer, enormously increasing your options in melee. This year’s Warhammer Day miniature is an Einhyr Champion, representing the way decades old Warhammer lore has been reinterpreted by this brand new range of miniatures. A fitting champion for a classic range reborn. Chosen for command and drilled for war from birth, Ûthar the Destined has trained his entire life to lead the Greater Thurian League to victory. He’s both an indomitable fighter and masterful commander, squeezing every ounce of potential from his soldiers while carving up his foes with the Blade of the Ancestors.
