First, the production. It seems like the producer was trying to make this sound like an album that came out of the 80s, but failed miserably. It's too mushy and dry sounding. This brings the listening quality of the songs down a bit.

During mass at All Hallows, Gwenda is forced by her father to steal the money that Sir Gerald was supposed to use to pay his debts to Kingsbridge Priory. Forced to default on these debts he is disgraced, his property confiscated and he and his wife are left as pensioners to the Priory. This disgrace drives their sons Merthin and Ralph to seek to regain the family's fortune and honour. Ralph is accepted as a squire under the Earl of Shiring, while Merthin is pushed to the far less prestigious role of apprenticing himself as a carpenter. A related factor is the collapse of the western-led consensus favouring multilateral, collaborative approaches to international problems. This is matched by the parallel rise of authoritarian and populist regimes that prioritise narrow national interest over perceptions of the common good. There's a lot of hype going around that advertises Warbringer as the new champion of thrash metal, after giving their debut album a listen I've come to my own personal conclusion about Warbringer. I heard this album almost the day it came out. To be honest I enjoyed the some of the demo songs better than the album version. I heard a lot of generic thrash riffs, some strong lead guitar work and sloppy drumming! The double bass work could use some practicing because you can tell the drummer is struggling in most of the song. The vocals could be more versatile also, its just a guy screaming out words not really singing, although in one of the songs the singer does belt out a good high note scream in the beginning, it almost sounds too good to be real, maybe studio enhanced? Another problem would be a few rip off riffs and song structures to some bands they are influenced by. Which brings me to my second point, the production. Bill Metoyer has done an excellent job in bringing out Warbringer's sound. The production is raw but still modern, everything can be heard very well except the drums seem a teensy bit under the mix, but all of Ryan Bates' fills can still be heard, and theres a hell of a lot of them. The drums vary a tonne, but the speed is mostly fast to mid tempo the whole time. The drums keep up well in all of the songs and thank satan that Bates dosen't employ sloppy d-beating constantly like the Evile drummer and Pitiful Reign's drummer.

Religious wars are often the most bitterly fought and hardest to halt. As in the past, multiple collisions of faith, culture and values between Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and other belief systems are key elements in the early 21st century’s insatiable addiction to war.

Odila of Shiring, countess of Monmouth: Noblewoman, the only surviving child of Earl William of Shiring after the plague killed her brothers. She was then married to David of Caerleon, the young, new earl of Monmouth. As stepsister of Ralph's sons, her household will receive the young Gerald of Shiring as squire.The "time flash" Delenn experiences is a glimpse of the near future. The drumming sounds triggered, aka no sloppiness anywhere on it in any construable way shape or form. On the production, they got the vintage sound by using a rawer form of distortion rather than a deep rich one (Arch Enemy), probably by not overdubbing or using “wall of sound” recording techniques. They did not do it by making the production simply worse as there's no hum/fuzz/white noise (early Destruction) anywhere, nor do they have the far away + some reverb feel of true 80s speed metal (Ride the Lightning, So Far So Good So What). Lastly, if something seems too loud to you in the mix, make sure you don’t have an EQ on. The artists EQ’d the it already to suit the material. She had a soft spot for Godwyn when he was younger, but grows to dislike him and distrust him when he rules that the monks and nuns must be physically separate (causing the nuns to lose significant access to the priory's facilities). Later, she learns further how untrustworthy he is when he steals a large bequest from the nuns' funds to pay for the building of a new Prior's palace. She dies in the first plague outbreak. Eventually at the wedding of their children the two are reconciled as Gwenda realizes that she has won.Right away, I am met with what will be with me for this entire album; bad production trying to cover up sloppy playing, bad musicianship, simply horrible vocals that would fit a metalcore band perfectly, and a generally awful, and weak album.
