About this deal

This one bored me for some reason. I think I just didn’t care for either of the characters. Also the time jumps were so huge like I gotta know what happened in between. Stuff happened but I was still bored for some reason but it wasn’t the worst. omg where do i begin? i was totally convinced that twisted games was going to be my favourite in the series but this book is in a different level all thanks to my babygirl stella. don’t get me wrong i loved christian too but stella is just incredible 🥹

My only problem with the book was that when I compared it to Twisted Hate, it felt short. I enjoy reading books with witty banter in their relationship like joshjules had vs the calm and cool approach christianstella have. The spice in this book was also less compared to the other twisted books (2 major scenes) TG and TH had a lot more.

Games

Overall, this series was a joy to read. I loved the character dynamics, the romance plots, and the empowering women there were. I loved Alex and Ava’s relationship. It was so fun to see Alex slowly fall in love with Ava throughout the book. The groveling was the perfect amount. Everything was just 🤌 chef’s kiss. May have been the shortest book in the series, but it was a good one.

the identity of the stalker was kind of a let down. it would’ve been more exciting if it were someone we already knew like Brayden the manager or the bell boy guy, but who tf was Julian 😂 . And the whole reason for him being dormant for 2 years, his delusions and his endgame was so sloppy. I loved how it was resolved tho. How christian took care of stella after and how christian took care of the stalker after. The last 12% of the book definitely wasn’t as intolerable as the first 88%, but that unfortunately wasn’t enough to save it for me. stella becoming a more confident powerful version of herself - we love an empowered character developmentNow to discuss Christian. Christian had a bit more personality, but it just wasn’t good. The amount of times he claims Stella to be “his” was almost as often as Stella blushed. Christian was grumpy and broody— but he wasn’t necessarily icy. Which I actually didnt mind. But in the end— Christian can be summed up to a few words as well; obsessive, sarcastic, possessive, rich, dominant. This book warned me in the beginning that he would be a dominant, alpha hero, so really, its my own fault. But my dislike for this book goes much deeper than the actual tropes itself, its the way it all is written.
