About this deal

And while we love the interesting flavor profiles, the mood-altering effects are not guaranteed and will vary from person to person.

Despite not being one of the main ingredients in the drink, for me the overwhelming taste in the Nightcap is ginger. So, if you’re not the biggest fan of that then I apologise! I, on the other hand, am a massive fan of the plant so a gingery spirit is 100% up my street. On the nose, it was incredibly herbal. At first I wasn’t so sure about the scent but I think it just took a second to adjust to the strength of the flavour, and once you were familiar with it it was delicious. Need a little more information than this Three Spirit drinks review provided? You can get in touch with the brand via: The Livener is made with high levels of natural caffeine, 57.5 mg per 1.7 fl oz, from guayusa and green tea. With less caffeine than a cup of coffee, the Livener gives you a bump of energy without the crash.Of all the drinks, this is probably the most “potion-like” when you pour it out the bottle. It’s pink colour errs a little towards brown, and it also foams up a little when (as instructed) you shake the bottle. But taste wise – well I think it’s just gorgeous. This drink was like nothing I’ve ever tried, very complex from the mouthfeel to the initial sweetness to the spicy finish, and something I enjoyed. I tend to have more need to be awake than asleep these days. However, I’d been having a bit of an insomnia spell, so thought that was the perfect moment to give it a go.

All Three Spirit non-alcoholic drinks are plant-based, 100% vegan with sustainably-sourced plants, and gluten-free.

Therapeutic terpene

I also helped to create a wonderful Argentinian tea company called Champatea. This is where I learned a lot about medicinal plants and how to use them. Champatea is a charity owned business dedicated to protecting and reforesting ancient mountainous forests while educating communities on environmental sustainability. It's a very cool product, brand and ethos. I don't think Three Spirit would necessarily exist if I had not cut my teeth on those two experiences first. They taught me so much about the drinks business and allowed me to find the sweet spot of where to play and when.

Let’s be honest: These are herb and plant-based drinks – not narcotics! So if you expect to be bouncing off the walls, you’re going to be disappointed. However, the effect is good and – to me – noticeable. I’m always ready to get stuff done after one of these. As far as non-alcoholic drinks go, Three Spirit’s original range are some of the best options on the market right now. I’ve been working my way through an array of 0% gins, ciders and lagers lately, as well as trying out some 0% wines – and I can honestly say that the Three Spirit drinks reviewed here sit firmly at the top of my personal chart for grown-up drinks choices that don’t contain booze (or the risk of a hangover). After a large serving, we felt the same, but maybe different? I tried this drink several times over the course of the week to really try and hone in on its effects and still can’t be sure of how it made me feel.Just like everything else in their line, I love that it’s made with all-natural ingredients and is a healthier alternative. It also includes some great adaptogens: Three Spirit offers three different types of alcohol-free botanical beverages, but we think its name has more to do with the folks behind the company. It was created in 2018 by Dash Lilley, Tatiana Mercer, and Meera Gournay, each one of these entrepreneurs bringing their own expertise to the bar in plant science, mixology, herbalism, and art.

No! The combination of active ingredients in plants, adaptogens, nootropics, spices, and herbs gives way to the Three Spirit creative non-alcoholic elixirs with a complex flavor profile and (potential) mood-altering benefits.I’m sorry to say that despite the valerian, hops and other herbs, it didn’t immediately send me off to dreamland. In fact, my insomnia spell continued, and I was still up until gone 2am that night. So while it was a great drink, it wasn’t a magical sleepy potion – not for me anyway. (In fairness, once I was asleep, I did sleep well that night). The recommended “perfect serve” for this one is the “Light and Stormy,” a mix of Social Elixir with ginger beer or ginger ale, and a sliver of lime. Once again, Fever Tree is the perfect choice but – in all honesty – I didn’t feel it lost anything on a day when I used cheaper Schweppes mixers. After drinking a lot more of it, I do wonder how much of that effect was down to us feeling that we were having an “adult drink” for the first time in ages. I think there is some caffeine in this one too, so you get a small boost from that. It’s certainly very enjoyable to drink, and perfect for when others around you are drinking – so fun, yes, flirty? I’m still on the fence on that score! The Social Elixir was very unique and unexpected in a good way. I didn’t expect such a complex flavor from this non-alcoholic drink and really enjoyed it. It’s the most smooth/drinkable of the three in my opinion and my favorite.
