The Queens Gambit Board Game is a one to two person strategy game that pits players against each other in a battle of wits. Players take turns attempting to capture the opponent’s pieces using their own pieces, while striving to protect their own pieces from danger. The board includes thirty-nine squares with each player receiving 19 pieces to begin the match. Players must strategically plan out how they want to set up and move their pieces as they make their way toward capturing the opponent’s King piece. This is my first review ever. My main goal with this kind of review is to show what the game is about, getting down to the basics, the bare minimum necessary to captivated the reader. This game is all about balance. Concentrate on any one or two aspects and the other two suffer, with potentially dire consequences. In The Queen’s Gambit, combat is intense and very enjoyable. The sheer quantity of miniatures in this game make it a sight to behold. In addition to that, the decision to go with a 3D palace adds a lot to the “coolness factor”. For its time, I can’t think of a game with better components. If this game were to be made today, I can only imagine how great it would look.

Inspired by one of Netflix’s smash-hit shows, this brilliant board game takes place on a traditional chess board but, it isn’t a traditional game of chess you’ll be playing. Those who may not have liked every single thing about the prequels but who don’t give up on their fandom because of a few little things The Queen’s Gambit puts the players on opposing sides of the climax of The Phantom Menace. The players of the Trade Federation will battle the Naboo players for control of the palace throne room. Does The Queen’s Gambit have what it takes to be a hit at your gaming table? The Queen's Gambit is one of the oldest openings in chess. Its earliest record comes from the Gottingen manuscript, written circa 1490. Later, masters Alessandro Salvio and Gioachino Greco analyzed the opening in the first part of the 17th century. One last note, while the pieces are all well done, there is set up time to consider and the three level palace at the heart of the game can be a little wobbly. First, the bad news. Star Wars: The Queen’s Gambit is out of print. It was produced at the height of the movie mania in 2000. Being out of print, it’s really hard to find a copy. You can buy one second hand, but you better be prepared to spend a pretty penny. With that out of the way though, let’s get on to the good stuff. The Queen’s Gambit Board Game is an exciting and unique take on traditional chess. It takes classic chess elements, such as pieces, moves, and strategy, combines them with modern game design considerations to create a fresh new experience. The components of this board game help bring it to life.
