I just don’t like Annie. I understand her but she is so selfish and annoying. I get it that after the accident, she was depressed but just cannot tolerate her whining behavior to her mother. She did have a redemption arc at the end but it’s nothing great. She was such a bitch to her mother (her mother sacrificed so much but she was so ungrateful and rude her her- my Asian genes are screaming) Then she focused in on Paulo’s grin, as wide as the horizon. There was nervous laughter as he struggled to get the ring on. When Annie held her finger up, everyone yelled, Congratulations!

I recommend this novel to everyone because it is not only can make you cry but it makes you inspire that life is a beautiful thing to happen. It gives you that every day is a blessing just like in this novel. This can be an inspiration to us that there is light in every tunnel we face in.As expected she meets her five people in heaven. Five people she may or may not know who have altered her life in some way. Briefly, to set the stage, in The Five People You Meet in Heaven, we met Eddie, a rough and gruff war veteran turned mechanic who passed away in the act of saving a little girl named Annie. Eddie’s trip to heaven involved questions and answers about the meaning of life.

I believe in the saying everything happens for a reason, people come in your life with a purpose and somehow our lives are connected to each other. Even though we all have our own stories here on Earth, at some point, we meet people in between and touched their lives we never thought we did. Like a thread woven in a fabric, we make real life stories together and be a part of each other’s lives. “The tale of your life is written second by second, as shifting as the flip of a pencil to an eraser. It started the novel as Annie was married to Paolo and how she lives after the Freddy Free Fall incident. She lost her left hand in the incident and they repair her hand, she never remembered what happened in that incident because of trauma. She was a nurse in a hospital and she met Paolo for the first time since he left home when they were kids. She enjoyed being together with Paolo until they have an accident in the hot air balloon that will choose their lives between life and death. Annie will spare her life to save her husband from near-death by being the donor of his lung. She went from heaven and met her five people just like Eddie did. She met the first person which was a doctor that saved her hand and her life, the doctor who experienced Annie’s incident that broke his limb. The second person she met in heaven was a human version of her pet dog, Cleo. She embodied the woman who caretakes dogs and she took care of young Annie from ups and downs despite her hand.

This part made me really emotional and I just couldn't stop crying..it was difficult for me to continue reading the book.)Since that day in her childhood, Annie's life has been rough. Her mum was constantly off with boyfriends, and set Annie really strict rules on not leaving the house, and socializing in an effort to protect her.
