About this deal

One random night out at a club changed her life.. forever. She'll never be the same. She didn't have much going for her and she still doesn't.

Nothing like a little obsession to put some pep in a girls step (when it’s wanted of course). Then again it’s really the least she deserves after putting her life on the line for a handsome stranger. While struggling to get by heroine Ayla realizes that day two years ago still haunts her in the form of three dangerous men who just keep turning up. Ayla is very very brave though I would argue at times she’s a bit dumb too. She doesn’t think everything through but I think a lot of that has to do with her being unaware until the end what kind of world she’s now been dragged into. Callie Rose has said that she loves writing for long stretches of time as compared to many of her friends who write in short bursts. She can often be found sitting at her laptop where she can stay for hours writing to exhaustion. My first read by this author and I enjoyed it. I will say that at the time of writing this review after some time has passed since I finished this book I'd actually go with a high 3 rather than 4 but that could also be because I didn't enjoy the rest of the books as much as I'd hoped.I wish I could keep going since the plot was so good but my one line is monogamy in my romance books and ryland completely destroyed that. Once she graduated from college, she became more serious with her writing even though it would take several years before she decided to take a stab at publishing. She is now glad that she took the plunge since becoming an author changed her life as it has become more than a hobby.

I enjoyed this one, Ayla is a strong and fierce h, moving forward with her life despite her physical disability Before I go on, please note there are spoilers so if you don’t want to know what happens, do not read any further. ** marcus is the one who most appears on this book, and i accepted that since there is three books (and i imagine the author intends to develop each one in her own timing). he's clearly the boss on the trio, the possessive one. The guys stayed their dominating selves, however I did love seeing them open up more to Ayla and confessing their feelings to her. Ayla became even MORE of a badass and watching her character progress throughout this series, especially with her disability, was beautiful.

The only thing with this book was that it was more plot oriented than the first one. I personally am not a big fan of plot and prefer character and relationship development. While this book did have that, the driving force was the plot. There was nothing wrong with it and I actually was intrigued by what was happening, but I ultimately did enjoy this a slight bit less than first one. It’s not because the book was bad or anything, it’s just personal preference. I was wanting to know why Marcus and Co wanted to stalk Ayla and the only reason we got for the whole time is that he wanted to know her, and her heart and what goes on in her mind... and I'm like you couldn't have seen her when she was in the hospital or something 2 years earlier???!!!!!!!! Ayla is realistic compared to other mafia FMCs in the sense that once she entered this world she didn't remain completely innocent or turn into a complete badass. Don't get me wrong, she is awesome, it's just she's her own brand of awesome. She is trying to get tougher but isn't automatically amazing at shooting guns and fighting people. This was full of sexual tension, sexy times, and the personality of the three different men spark in this one. The relationship between the FMC and the MMCs also seems more genuine (or as genuine as it can be).

This book was fine. Not a bad start to a series, and it kept me reading, but there were definitely some issues, and I was left wanting a bit more at the end. This book started with promise, the premise was interesting with Ayla saving a "beautiful earth and air eyed man" from being shot, but in turn being shot herself and ends up losing part of her arm from the elbow down. But because she saved the mysterious man, said man decided that him and his two friends shall stalk Ayla for 2 and a half years... This was something I didn’t feel through the first two books.. like AT ALL.. so it’s really hard to put my finger on the exact reason I felt this way through this book. All I can boil it down to is I just felt a disconnect with her character this time around. And I re-read the first two books before starting the third!

Publication Order of Ruthless Hearts Books

Ayla goes to a club one night and for a brief moment she saw who we later learn is Marcus, she later goes outside and sees the beginning of a drive by shooting. Ayla steps in front of the shooter who was aiming at Marcus and his friends thereby saving his life. 2 years later that night has devastating consequences as Ayla lost part of her limb from the three bullets, she's working in a bar trying to save money for college.....until an attempted mugging up ends her world once again. Now Marcus and the guys step out of the shadows into Ayla's life...... But these men are not living ordinary lives and getting involved with them puts her in grave danger I just finished reading Rejected Mates by Callie Rose. This fantastic, hot story about a female wolf shifter who is just out to have fun when she meets her mate was one of my favorites. She wakes up to discover that her partner has left her after the most amazing life of her life. Six months later, she learns that the face has not only one but three partners. However, the witch also speaks of destruction and tragedy. She leaves her group and sets out on a journey to find and kill her friends. She finds them there years later. A good read. -Ryn She lost her arm and she dropped out of school, but most of all she lost herself. She lives in constant fear, misery, and self-loathe because she cannot accept her own actions ruined her whole life. She tells everyone and herself everything was an accident because she doesn't understand why she would have chosen to save a stranger -even a handsome one- and end up with nothing other than phantom pain and a crappy waitressing job. eu estou escrevendo isso aqui sem nem saber porque eu dei estrelas. eu devo ter gostado de algo, mas nem lembro mais por motivos de ✨esse livro é totalmente ESQUECÍVEL✨ (depois de um tempo lembrei: literalmente a última cena do livro tem um super plot twist que eu fiquei OMGGGGGGG, but that was it)

At the beginning Marcus was the main love interest, but after he was kidnapped her relationship with Theo and Ryland developed until she cared for them a much as she did for Marcus. Maybe these details don’t bother other people as much, but these situations definitely contributed to my inability to get into or stay in that trance-like reading state during those steamy scenes.

Customer reviews

Marcus, Ryland, and Theo are the H. They are very wealthy, but we never hear about them actually working. They live in a huge mansion, have nice clothes, and garage filled with expensive cars, etc. I know this was only the first book of a trilogy, and I am sure they will get their well-deserved happy end based on respect and love by book three. But I'm not sure I can go through all the journey and would rather jump directly to the happy ever after. we also have theo, which is my favorite. those who read reverse harem JUST KNOW it always has the character that is super cute and protective with a dark past and probably tattoos, piercing and/ or a crazy appetite for sex we wouln't imagine about......... this is theo. This series looks promising! I devoured the last half of the book. The first half seemed a bit slow, but I think that's because I was a bit clueless to what was going on with the story and characters. This foursome is exciting and sexy. I’m so excited to explore more of their dynamic and how see how their story unfolds! Also, I need to not have to live with that cliffy for too long— ya girl is over here biting her nails in anticipation for answers!
