Uh... I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT! He cannot even hold it together for a moment to really truly see how awesome she is and apologize. SAYING "I'd do it" shouldn't give her fuzzy feelings. Actions speak louder than words, and his actions are wretched so far! I won't believe it until I see it. There is so much to love about Practice Makes Perfect. You have a great small-town romance with adorable side characters, a strong family and a great friend. You have a really fun relationship coach storywhere the hottie bodyguard signs up to “teach” the sweet flower shop owner how to be comfortable on dates who ends up giving her all her firsts.

James just shines when it comes to writing humorous situations & dialogue! And, yes, it's silly and over the top in instances, but I still laughed at the stuff these two did to each other while trying to win the partnership spot. Sure, there are a lot of misunderstandings that complicate matters and lead to problems that could have been easily avoided. And if this were a different book, I'd be the first one in line to angrily point out that all the drama was stupid, and that these two would never have acted so unprofessionally, etc., blah, blah, blah. On the other hand, ASSHOLE WARNING: J.D. is such a sexist pig in the beginning. He does get better towards the middle of the story but I didnt thought that he ever really moved out of the selfish-jerk category. I really liked When in Rome last year and was so excited to see who’s book was going to be next. Annie’s story is full of joys and perfect for your romantic heart! I loved so many things about this book and hopefully you will too! I don't understand why this was even included in the book, it was unnecessary. And if the author wanted to keep it in, perhaps it should have come out early and Payton should have left the company and established herself elsewhere (successfully with ethical people).

I enjoyed seeing Annie and Will navigating and working through what they thought they wanted in life for reasons entirely rooted in circumstances/trauma from the past. Will is a sweetheart and he is great with Annie, but it was Annie who made this story for me. She can come off as juvenile sometimes, but there are a lot of little things I liked about her character. She surprised me many times, when she said or did something I didn't expect, and she can be really funny. Still. I'm a woman. And as such, I must have (at the very least!) a fantasy life that allows me to get in touch with that gooey nougat in the center of my soul. And this book lets me safely fantasize about the kind of love that...well, you can only find in books. Payton, the female lead, is a little better. At first. But the fact that she's a female lawyer who defends companies when they get sued for gender discrimination and yet claims to be a feminist and somehow isn't conflicted about her job isn't something I can get over.

But finding her dream man may be harder than Annie imagined. Everyone knows everyone in her hometown, and the dating prospects are getting fewer by the day. wHY this was surprisingly TOUCHING and unexpectedly mOrTiFYiNg because i felt ~E X P O S E D~ lol!! i have never felt so seen/connected to a book character before. 🙈 i feel like im Annie (h) or shes me. from her personality, her dynamic with her sisters, and her inexperienced love life, i could relate. the only thing missing is my very own bad boy, tattooed dating coach/training wheel Will Griffin (H)... whom if i dont get soon, then (instead of Practice Makes Perfect romcom) my love story would be a parody of Arranged Marriage judging from all the guys my moms been trying to set me up with lmao. 🤣💀But still, Practice Makes Perfect was a funny, romantic, sexy, slow-burn, and swoon-inducing novel, and it's a major plus point that there's a huge Pride and Prejudice influence here, although it's not what I'd call a re-telling. He was an ass, but eventually grew on me because like Mr. Darcy, his personality improved over time. Or rather, his true self came out? I love when brooding men turn into sentimental, sweet marshmallows and ugh. It's adorable. I loved the main character Payton's feminist attitude, and how she wrangles anyone who makes a sexist remark about her or any woman. YAS GIRL POWER. There were a lot of 'hating' moments between the characters - which is actually great - because then you get to really witness their relationship gradually develop and change into something else as the story goes. Also, there were countless Pride and Prejudice references which made me love it 1000 times more. It’s books like these that make me feel like any review is just inadequate to capture my feelings and love for the characters. It was deliciously romantic. Kind of like watching a 90s rom-com but with still it having the magic of being a book.' ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

From the moment I first read Will and Annie talk, their chemistry was sizzling and came across as genuine. Their conversations are so fun. The two, especially Annie are hilarious. But as I reached the 60% mark, I thought the two denying their feelings for each other despite having open communication was dragging unnecessarily, which is why I rate it 4 stars instead of four. Will doesn't believe in love after suffering from years-long dysfunctional relationships of his own parents. And Annie is a full commitment girl who wants to survive through a date without making her significant other bored to death. But she realizes she is more than a boring, inexperienced wallflower. Will helps her explore her restrained true identity and her adventurous side. But what if Annie doesn't want to date any man instead of her brooding coach, who is a cinnamon bun hiding behind a rough facade? And what if Will breaks his strict rules and opens his heart to true love? Payton is a badass. The sabotage attempt was hilarious, and if what happened to Payton happened to me, I wouldn't have handled it the way she did. I would've cried and ran out of the courthouse. But Payton was beauty and grace. She's Miss United States. lol. I kid. But seriously. She's amazing. She's a feminist, and is all for girl power, yet she's not one to disregard men and their merits. I am all over that! I love it.Sarah Adams' books are woven with pure sunshine and rainbows . . . It's everything you could want in a small town romance, along with a heaping dollop of her signature wit and sparkling charm' AMY LEA She asked him the question she had been asking herself for the past few days. "Why are you being so nice to me now?" The majority of their communication was so honest and open (which I loved) especially on Wills end like yess we love a man who can ACTUALLY communicate. At first it did feel like insta love but I still ate it up as it didn’t feel cringey to me like most. JD was great...until he decided to retaliate and I mentally threw my iPhone against the wall. Gave up. Gave up Julie James, too.

Amid steamy practice dates and strictly “educational” tutoring lessons, Annie discovers there are more layers to Will’s usual stoic attitude. Single volume contains five popular titles: Spanish Grammar; Spanish Intermediate Grammar; Spanish Sentence Builder; Spanish Problem Solver, and Spanish Conversation

Aaron did some deep diving for me after I requested a book that would give me Donna/Harvey vibes from Suits. This was one of 3 suggestions she gave me. Oh, and you bet your ass I'm reading them all. Sarah Adam just blew me completely away. I was expecting this to be good but not THIS good. Amazing and incredible. He ends up needing her help. And she helps. She takes a deposition for him and does it REALLY WELL. Instead of thanking her, he yells at her and freaks out that she ruined things for him. She basically has to shove the proof in his face that she took care of things in the right way. Does he apologize well? NOPE! He says "sorry", she wants to kiss him (gag me), and then he tells her "I would have done the same for you if you needed my help". THAT CAN BE ACCESSED THROUGH THE WORK VIA HYPERLINK OR OTHERWISE, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTY, I giggled, sighed, laughed out loud, and even shed some tears. This book awakened so many emotions in me at the same time.
