About this deal

For now all I can say is that I really enjoyed “The Maze Runner” and that I’m already looking forward to read “The Scorch Trials”. =) Continuing the end of The Fever Code (2016), When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone. Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade. Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive. Everything is going to change. Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying. on the topic of like, barely developing literally anything in this book, barely anything was developed in this book. endless descriptions of who went where and saw what, no thoughts heads absolutely empty. idk what these people were feeling half the time. The Maze Runner Movie Release Date, News, and Updates: 2 New Clips Released in Anticipation of The Premiere". hallels.com . Retrieved September 12, 2014. The issue with the book is that the parts involving Alexandria are confusing and non-sensical. From what I could understand, her and two others have styled themselves as gods but there is some truth to her claim because the Flare has somehow given them superhuman powers and longevity. The three are known as the Godhead and Alexandria is obsessed with releasing the Flare variants to the population.

and like, so what was in the book, you may ask. i literally don't know. people traveled on a boat to the mainland. then they walked a bunch of days (not gonna go into that cause that whole thing was as well-explained and thought out by jdashner as you can imagine). then they uhh. met up with some guy and a woman and a man and got kidnapped on Bergs. then uhh they crashed the Bergs and got out. that's like, it. Another issue I have with the book is that it was written like only one character could do an action at a time if that makes sense. Everyone else just stand around waiting to dee what happens, or isn't described at all like the author forgot there were supposed to be all these (millions, it felt) characters in the one scene. Very unrealistic. Isaac is a descendent of the original Maze Runners who landed up at the safety of the island. When a mysterious ship approaches their island, him and a group of representatives leave with the duplicitous captain of the Maze Cutter with the aim of finding a cure for the Flare.James Dashner, of “ The Maze Runner” fame, brings us a new story, the beginning of yet another series, from the same universe. “The Maze Cutter” takes place seventy-five years after the events of “The Maze Runner”, so although you can expect some overlap in locations and situations, the characters are all brand new. Maze Runner really reminded me of Skyward by Brandon Sanderson because it also had a lot of made-up swear words. These words came across as cheesy and a bit awkward. Brenda: A Canadian girl, was part of a group of rebels in The Scorch Trials before being separated and having to navigate her way through the Scorch. She shares a mutual attraction with Thomas. Dashner is a master of action sequences. The settings are epic, and although the second book, The Scorch Trails might drag to some, the outcome in the final book is worth working up to. What we do get here is a confusing story which introduces way too many new concepts that suggest that previous fans are just that die-hard over the series that they will just trust whatever Dashner writes enough to consume this and wait for a sequel. But when this new series introduction is so weak, I honestly doubt there will be much interest in it going forward. On top of that, one of the biggest gripes that Maze Runner critics have with the series is the persistent heightening of stakes and thrills without satisfying answers or a good payoff at the end. This new installment amplifies that weakness of the series.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying: Remember. Survive. Run. Also look for The Fever Code, the much-buzzed-about series conclusion that finally reveals the story of how the maze was built, and James Dashner’s other bestselling series, the Mortality Doctrine: The Eye of Minds,The Rule of Thoughts, andThe Game of Lives. I will admit that i found some new aspects confusing, but i still enjoyed it overall, and I'm drawn in by the new organisations that have sprouted up following the conclusion of the death cure. I do wish that we got more insight to each of the characters, but i adored the book all the same. There are so many things we don't know, like the Godhead that Alexandra is a part of. What is it? People that think they're gods when really they're advanced Cranks? I hope there are more answers in the sequel. The day after Thomas arrives, a girl (Theresa) comes for the first time ever. Thomas and Theresa know each other, but they don't remember how or why.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone. In its defense, though, I was still affected by what happens near the end. I would recommend the book - with some hesitation - for younger readers or those who are new to YA dystopian fiction. Thomas Minho Teresa i Love you especially you Thomas you are god's perfect idiot and you did nothing wrong in your life ever. i didn't actually mean what i said im just silly like that
