Ich bin sehr neugierig, wie es weitergeht und ob man noch mehr über die Hintergrundgeschichte bestimmter Charaktere erfährt. Ich vermute, dass dieses Manga noch in eine düstere Richtung gehen wird und darauf freue ich mich sehr! The setting was nice, too -- the story occurs mostly during winter/Christmas, additionally with very minute character interactions, so it's very soft and quiet. Mixed with the plot's slight darkness, it created a really great atmosphere that played on the loneliness of Anzai and Tsukasa, as well as their time together. (I feel like the Japanese just really understand this concept of "winter loneliness" so well! I notice a lot of mangaka use winter in their stories in this way, and it's one of my favorites styles.) The action sequences always seemed to come at the end of each chapter, so we were allowed some downtime in-between to appreciate the "stillness" of the world. It's weird, it's creepy, it's dark, and it's pretty dang good. It is notwhat you imagine when you think "vampire romance." The most obvious difference is that the romantic subplot (vampire cop guy and non-vampire girl) and the nonromantic subplot (shadowy organization trying to genocide vampires, who make up about .01% of the population) get roughly equal attention. The story may even be biased slightly towards the non-romantic plot. And the non-romantic plot is strong enough to stand on its own as a compelling story.

It’s true that there’s still a decent amount of material to be adapted. However, Devils’ Line: Season 2 has not been approved yet. Platinum Vision started in 2016, so it’s still pretty young compared to the producers. According to Myanimelist, they’ve only animated about 11 anime. A couple of their animated shows are Kono Oto Tomare!, Servamp, and Koroshi Ai Devils Line is a series that explores deep themes such as the duality of human nature, the conflict between good and evil, and the difficulty of finding one’s place in a world that rejects us. The story takes place in a modern world where demons live in secret among humans, trying to control their predatory instincts while yearning for a normal life. The guy who books him is a half-vampire, half-human hybrid named Anzai, who works as a sort of police officer among his kind, hauling in the bad guys who prey on humans and disrupt their way of life. We get to see several of the cases that he's working on before he's put on leave for beating up a teacher who assaults Tsukasa right before Anzai is supposed to meet her for hot pot. The art is just cool. I really like how that random hoe who does not have a personality had different colored hair than the other hoe who does not have a personality. Their voice actresses are also not the one and same person which makes telling them apart even easier. Thanks for that. The opening on the other hand is a masterpiece... at fooling people into thinking this show might actually not be utter garbage, which it is.
