About this deal

These beams attach with clips to a square plate base, with Technic beams that will be used to join the four sections together. Note the yellow 2×2 triangle tile – that’s one of the colored elements I was mentioning. There’s no denying it – this is a massive set and a huge investment. The model’s dimensions are 58.5 in. (149 cm) high, 22.5 in. (57 cm) wide and 22.5 in. (57 cm) deep, so you’re going to really have to plan out where to display this as it’s almost as tall as an adult. Eiffel’s Apartment is an interesting way for LEGO to expand the 10307 Eiffel Tower without directly ratcheting up the already high price and part count of that set. It recreates a minifigure-scale view of a part of the tower and considering the almost urban-legend quality of the hidden apartment, it’s also a conversation piece. The build itself is interesting, if not particularly complex. The included minifigure is a good likeness for Gustave Eiffel, although it doesn’t contain any unique elements.

There is no question that the Lego® 10307 Eiffel Tower is a beautiful set. It's an impressive build that captures the iconic structure perfectly. But is it worth buying? If you are still undecided, then read on. Unboxing the Lego® Creator Expert 10307 Eiffel Tower Paris It’s not every day that LEGO crosses the 10,000-piece mark, or gives us a model that’s almost 1.5 metres (4.8 feet) tall, but that day has arrived with 10307 Eiffel Tower, one of LEGO’s most ambitious and impressive models to date. As the most recent previous addition to what we had called the Creator Expert series, the Colosseum is a much denser model than the Eiffel Tower. It is much easier to display because it is shorter, but it does not have nearly as much presence in the room despite a similar price point. It would be even cooler if the build process mirrors how the actual building was built in some way. I do not know whether a central support structure was employed or not, but I hope we learn detailed information about the real building in the building instructions. Bar Holder with Hole and Bar Handle (6397633 | 23443) is new, and comes in strong with a whopping 660 parts!

The interior gets some set dressing with a wooden desk, chair, and table. The desk has a small lamp and a 1×2 tile with a printed envelope pattern. In a bit of meta reclusiveness, there’s also a small model of the Eiffel Tower itself perched on a small display table. Of course, each section has more of these red and yellow elevators, slowly making the climb up on the inner collumn. Over the next 11 bags, we build the second removeable module of our growing Eiffel Tower model. The next module has the shape of a pyramid with the top cut off, which is called an Frustum. (I’m continuing to use this article to teach the names of obscure geometric shapes — Enjoy!)

Whether or not you decide it deserves the title as the ‘largest LEGO set’, #10307 Eiffel Tower is a massive undertaking that has a towering presence in any room. More than any previous LEGO set, it makes the jump from LEGO model to serious home decor — That’s why the real question for many builders is not about whether this is an impressive LEGO set, but rather if they have a safe and suitable place in their home to display it.READ MORE: Learn more about the design process; watch New Elementary's video interview with designer Rok Žgalin Kobe. LEGO Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower launches in LEGO stores and at LEGO.com on November 25, and can be expected to appear at select retailers from that date onwards, perhaps in an exclusive capacity. — LEGO Icons 10307 Eiffel Tower build — At the center of the level, a hole for a Technic beam is exposed, another concession to the need for stability as things go vertical. Once this section is complete, it attaches to the lower half and is secured with four 2×2 tiles at the join. The gradient of the tower becomes steeper towards the top and the many cross-braces become smaller. Nevertheless, their design remains realistic until the space between the vertical struts narrows and can only accommodate a single diagonal brace. The braces through the centre are similarly simplified. To make it easy to transport (it’s not recommended to carry the entire Tower in one piece… although you can), and to clean or move around, the LEGO Eiffel Tower can split into these 3 parts, allowing you to reposition it with ease if you must. There are about 12 parts that come in quantities in excess of 100, including 704x of the badly damaged 1×1 clip mentioned below, and a potentially ‘evil’ 666x 1×6 plates. Naturally, almost all of these high-volume parts are 199 Dark Stone Grey Dark Bluish Gray. The exception is 1×1 Round w/ 5 petals (part 24866) which you get in large quantities in both 37 Bright Green and 28 Dark Green Green. Injection Moulding Quality Issues
