About this deal

One of the most common questions we get is – do Fanatec pedals work with Thrustmaster wheel? This is due to Fanatec producing some of the best sim racing pedal peripherals on the market. The Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals are one of the best entry level pedals available, the LC standing for load cell.

This improves the ease of being able to use the heel and toe technique to downshift. You can replicate a similar setup with these Thrustmaster pedals. There are of course the T3PA Pro pedals, if you fancy another step up. The Pro pedal variant allow for even more customization by allowing you to invert the pedals. This allows you to run a closer brake and throttle pedal for heel and toe downshifting, if that’s your style. As I just mentioned, you can also adjust the angle of each pedal, which is a lovely touch. By rotating the mounting support behind each pedal you can add an increased incline to each pedal. They allow for floor mounted or inverted pedal mounting positions. This in turn, allows you to set up your pedals to mimic a range of driving setups. You can floor mount them for formula style driving. Or invert them for GT and road cars. The great thing about the DriveHub is its huge compatibility with all sim racing products. It includes all main wheel bases, pedals, shifters and handbrakes from Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech. This means you can create almost any combination of sim racing products, creating your ultimate sim rig for console. Fanatec ClubSport pedals V3 (and V1 + V2) are supplied with their own USB. This means that you can connect them directly to your PC, and will work with any wheel base. Again, this is only the case on PC and with games which support multiple inputs which are listed above. Can You Use Fanatec Pedals With Thrustmaster Wheels Xbox or PS5? If you fancy increasing or adjusting the brake pedal resistance, the T3PA kit does come with an optional brake mod. This brake mod (the conical rubber brake mod) features an industrial-grade high-density rubber cylinder. We would highly recommend paying the extra cost to add these T3PA pedals to your Thrustmaster racing wheel bundle. We’ve spent a lot of time testing the T3PA pedals to be able to bring you our in depth review, and show you why you should upgrade to this pedal set. Proprietary technologies: T-AEC-Q, T-DCC, T-RTF, T-LIN, T40-VE, T-DFB, T-F.O.C., T-M.C.E. and T-TURBO

Internal components from the European automotive industry (AEC-Q), for maximum quality and lifespan In my opinion they certainly are - for a start the whole construction is metal and this somehow gives a more definite "feel" to the sim, whatever flavour you prefer.Side-note, yes, all TM budget pedals are terrible, yes, there are better options, we all know this. But working terrible pedals are better then non-working ones (not by much though in case of TM). We would definitely recommend installing this rubber cone, as it dramatically increases the performance and feeling of the brake. Over time you will be able to brake more consistently and realistically, than you could without it. My local online electronics shop had something similar for the taper (still not a guarantee will work) but delivery time was too long and the price was ~10€ for a single pot, and the shaft did not mach (need D shaft, had knurled shaft), and if I have to guess the TM paid 0.5 - 1.5 euros per pot, most likely well below 1€, and I do not think there is value in spending 10€ for single potentiometer, since pedals are terrible to begin with, and if you want to spend more, then do a hall-effect sensor conversion or a load-cell, or buy a better pedal set. Cheap fix for cheap pedals is the name of the game here. The B25K60 has a 6mm diameter shaft that is about 13mm in length (~19mm total including threads). Shaft has a ground flat portion, these type of shaft are called D shafts or flat shaft. Shaft length is not that crucial, a shorter will work as well. Most 6mm diameter shaft will have the same mounting nut (10mm). Then there is the connection, through pins or solder lugs will work.

Then there is the new conical brake mod, which is from the standard T3PA pedal set. The conical brake mod is a piece of high-density rubber, shaped like a cone. So I will add an excel spreadsheet with more technical info. And make your own decisions, I was willing to modify the plastic gears, you might not be. Maybe find some 10K logarithmic pots with correct shaft, I did not, because it was faster for me this way. The load cell which is directly integrated into the brake pedal produces one of the most realistic braking simulations you can get from a racing sim pedal. You can apply realistic brake pressure just like in a real car, with the pressure depending on how hard you press the pedal. As we stated in the previous section, both of these pedal sets have been around for a considerable amount of time and it’s probably best to say that they’re both overperformers – but the increased quality and customizability of the Pro model does translate to better performance. The main issue with trying to use Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel Xbox or Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel PS5, is that these consoles only support 1 USB input device. This means that both Xbox and PS5 can only have 1 input device plugged in at once. Connecting Fanatec pedals and a Thrustmaster wheel in to separate USB ports counts as 2 inputs, and therefore wouldn’t work on Xbox or PS5 out of the box. You will require an adapter.

The T3PA Pro has a decidedly industrial design that is largely attributable to the fact that it is designed to be used in F1 or GT (inverted) positions – and us such must be somewhat more modular in aesthetic. Form is perhaps a secondary consideration with the pro model, and users will appreciate that no expense has been spared in pursuit of extreme functionality and versatility. One of the key improvements of the T3PA pedals, once you’ve looked past the third pedal, is the inclusion of a brake mod. This optional brake mod changes how the brake pedal reacts, and adds a slightly more realistic feel to the pedal progression. We’ll look at this in more detail further in to this review. And that is not good for us at all. This is one of those other taper, and no, I do not know the name of it. Sourcing it could be hard, and even if you find one that fits physical dimensions and has a similar taper, if the taper is off by even a little bit you could end up with noticeable dead-zones in pedals. To start with, you should know that the T3PA pedals are completely plug and play. This means that all you have to do is connect them to a compatible wheel base, (any of the T range of wheel bases) and they’ll work.If you have previously used the standard two pedal kit that comes with Thrustmaster wheels, these will feel familiar. The brake and throttle pedals both feel almost identical to the two pedal kit. The T3PA is relatively standard fare in terms of sim racing pedals, if not at the higher-end of said classification. While the set is always going to be used in the F1 (standard) position, the array of tweaks and mods on offer allow for considerable customization. Furthermore, the archetypal design does extend to aesthetics, and equates to a truly classic design that doesn’t stand out nor offend.
