About this deal

The noise-canceling capabilities of the SoundPEATS Air4 are a noteworthy surprise, especially given the semi-open design that doesn’t typically incorporate ear tips for isolation. The Bose app allows you to alter the amount of noise-cancelling on offer via a number of customisable presets and, speaking of noise-cancelling, the new Bose are still at the top of their game. They can automatically adjust the amount of ANC on offer so your music isn’t drowned out by particularly loud noises and the effect is deeply impressive. As for sound, it's balanced and neutral and overflowing with fine detail. Call quality is good for the money too. Noise cancellation is alright, nothing spectacular, but enough to be slightly immersed in your audio. Noise isolation however is dreadful, literally everyone can hear what you’re listening too. In our opinion, the best pairs are most definitely worth it. You get a clear step up as far as sound quality goes with more detail uncovered, even greater dynamics and a more overall polished performance. Many budget models don't have the same spread of features as more expensive designs and might be missing key things like active noise-cancelling. What are the best earbuds for Zoom meetings? The soundstage is what you’d expect, or would you? I hear a decently wide psycho-acoustically rendered stage. The stage size is average in height and there’s actually some decent depth to the sound. I’d say the stage is well laid out actually. You have to think, the sound is certainly more airy and open sounding. There isn’t anything congested or veiled at all. The sound is pretty dynamically expressive with decent macro-dynamics. You won’t hear a concert hall or anything, but the stage is in front of the listener with a nice half-circle all around me. Again, there is nice depth which I wasn’t expecting at all. The stage is pretty good, and I don’t think it’ll let anyone down. The only time the stage shrinks a bit is with ANC toggled “on”. Everything gets a hint more congested, not veiled either, just more intimate or warm. Separation / Imaging

discount will be prorated and the value of the discount, free product, or gift card will be deductedTied to this, of course, are other factors such as battery life. The best wireless earphones all have enough battery life for the average listening session but some do last longer than others. Most pairs will have a combined earbud and case battery life of 18 hours or more, though, so you shouldn't be caught out during long-haul flights, though some people might care for a higher earbud battery life for continuous listening without having to pop them into the case to charge. Add to that an eight-hour battery life (plus 16hrs from the case), Multipoint Bluetooth (so you can connect to two devices simultaneously), excellent noise cancellation (they seem to remove an extra layer of midrange noise compared to their predecessors, the XM4) andIPX4-rated sweat resistance, and this is a solid offering across the board. The Air4’s dynamic sound profile was further complemented by its adept Sound Stage and sound imaging capabilities. The semi-open design of these earbuds engendered a sense of openness in the sound, allowing for greater spatial awareness and the ability to discern the origin of various sound elements. The resulting sound stage offered an expansive and immersive listening experience. Microphone quality The Ultra actually replace the company's 2022 What Hi-Fi? Award winner – the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, so shop around and you might be able to find a big chunk of cash slashed off the older pair. It's an option worth considering.

In terms of noise cancellation, we want to find buds that work well to drown out ambient noise day-to-day in a variety of environments. We test them in our pretty typical office environment, out walking in city traffic, and on public transport. The Air4 boasts a multi-point connection capability. This means you can simultaneously connect the earbuds to multiple devices, allowing for seamless switching between devices without the need for constant re-pairing. App With the Beats Fit Pro, you get a load of the features that make the AirPods Pro so great for iPhone owners, but made workout-friendly with wing tips that keep them in place, and a custom-designed driver for a bassier sound to get the blood pumping. Interestingly, the noise-canceling feature had a tangible impact on the bass frequencies. It fortified the bass presence, imbuing it with an extra punch while still maintaining a commendable level of tightness and control. This was in stark contrast to the out-of-the-box bass response, which initially presented itself as somewhat bloated. Activating the noise-canceling mode rectified this, providing a more refined and balanced bass presentation. The lid has a clamshell-style design, with a cutout at the top center. This cutout leaves room for a built-in LCD display, which you can read whether the lid is open or closed. To the left and right, the display sports a pair of classic four-bar battery meters, one for each earbud. In the middle, it shows the status of the charging case battery, displayed as a percentage. Fit and ComfortWith official Hi-Res Audio certification, the SoundPEATS Air4 Lite Earbuds accurately capture the original analogue audio source, with minimal loss. This enables users to experience the immersive ambiance of live concerts to the fullest by restoring intricate details in various sounds. You want good battery life: Five hours with ANC deployed is below average these days – everything else here lasts longer. Ugly static sound when they first connected to iPhone. It went away on its own, but it was concerning. We all know Bose how to make a great pair of wireless headphones and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds have to be considered its finest wireless earbuds to date.

The bass isn’t bad at all and in fact it’s quite good. Certainly, a step up from the last semi-open set of earbuds I reviewed. Remember the Air4 does take very well to some added volume from the EQ if you need some more and also, tinker with the fit a little. Again, the Air4 will reward you with a more fun sound down low. Midrange Lower-midrange To finish breaking down the midrange, I find the midrange to be very well done considering what the Air4 are. I suppose this is a testament to the ones doing the tuning. Semi-open earbuds are already an uphill battle to tune, let alone doing so in a manner that is actually well accomplished. Please trust me, half-in-ears are not my favorite but somehow, I’ve really enjoyed this set. Vocals are very well carved-out and emphasized which is nice for anyone who values vocals. Instruments sound just as they should. Perhaps a hair thin in some areas but nothing that would cause you to be let down I don’t think. It’s a nice midrange that certainly beats out those half-in-ears which have come before it. Treble Region generators, electronic charts, mattresses, flares, hazardous items, licenses and gift cards. If proven They sound great for the price. Stream Hootie & the Blowfish's Let Her Cryand the different guitars present themselves to each ear in a relatively expansive, open soundstage too. Listen to Prince's Kissand while you'll get all of the bass funk in the intro, the artist's inimitable vocal comes off a little harsh. Sonically, it is difficult to rave about the sound quality, chiefly because of this treble, which does distort even in relatively easy passages, but that's not really the point here. You want good battery life: These are distinctly average when it comes to the battery – most buds match or beat them, even with similar features. That said, it does work pretty well if a seal can be achieved. I have to really play around to get that but once I was able to there is a nice reduction in outside noises. Louder sounds don’t get canceled out all that well like higher pitch noises. I don’t know how useful this feature will be to those in the community but it’s there, if you can get a seal in your ear, you will enjoy the Hybrid-ANC. Good for certain settings One nnice feature is the Air4’s ability to take clean phone calls that are seemingly easy to hear both ways. Whenever I review a set of tws I always ask those who I am talking to how my voice sounds. Well, those in my family have gotten quite good at discerning either “Good” or “Bad” voice reproduction through earbuds. They always do and always will tell me exactly how I sound. From all accounts the Air4 does a fantastic job at replaying a natural human voice and timbre. I don’t sound metallic, digital or grainy, and I don’t sound processed. I heard, “You sound good!”. So, Chalk slap this one in the “Pro” column. I conducted many meetings as well with the Air4’s in my ears and other people sound nice through them. Soundpeats App The SoundPEATS Air4 true wireless earphones combine quality sound, comfortable design, and a notable feature: active noise cancellation. Serving as the next iteration after the successful Air3 Deluxe and Air3 Deluxe HS models, these earphones continue the tradition of delivering impressive sound performance at an affordable price point. Wireless Earbuds: The Air4’s earbuds are deceptively simple in design yet sophisticated in function. They’re crafted to fit comfortably in your ears, providing an auditory escape that’s both immersive and intimate. The quality of sound? Crystal clear, with balanced bass and treble that cater to diverse musical tastes. These aren’t just earbuds; they’re your personal concert hall.

Although we have dedicated testing facilities in London, Reading and Bath, the bulk of our wireless earbuds testing happens outside those facilities, whether that's on the street or in our busy office. Next up is form. Do you intend to hit the gym, bike or pavement with your earbuds? Then you'll need a design that'll stay put. Or maybe small and minimal is what you're after, so opt for a pair of discrete true wireless buds. The SoundPEATS app complements the earbuds, though it’s worth noting that it’s not a particularly feature-rich application. However, it serves crucial functions such as keeping the earbuds updated. The app introduces an adaptive EQ feature, which conducts a hearing test to curate a personalized EQ setting based on your preferences. This offers a tailored audio experience that caters to your unique hearing profile. Additionally, the app provides control over noise cancellation, offering both a noise-canceling mode and a normal mode for your listening preference.
