About this deal

This manga, and the accompanying anime, are what inspired my interest in mythology over a decade ago. Yugi managed to solve the Puzzle, while under the pressure of getting money to pay Ushio's self-imposed bodyguard fee. [1] [2] After solving it, his body bore host to part of Atem's soul, known as Yami Yugi.

Because, despite the differences, it offers a unique view into the 'What if's?' of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series. As the RPG replayed Atem's life, Thief King Bakura managed to steal it again. He once again gathered the Items and Summoned Zorc. However, when Yugi and his friends were able to help Yami learn his original name, Atem managed to summon Holactie the Creator of Light, destroying Zorc without sealing him into the Puzzle or shattering it.

A plane takes landing into an airport. A man in a white robe walks through the airport carrying the Millennium Scale and the Millennium Key. The Pendant was later stolen from the then teenage Atem by Thief King Bakura, who used it and the other Millennium Items to Summon Zorc Necrophades. Takahashi, Kazuki (1997-03-09). " 遊闘 ( バトル ) 1 神 ( かみ ) のパッズル" (in Japanese). Yu-Gi-Oh!. 1. Shueisha. ISBN 4-08-872311-2. Frightening/Intense Scenes: Some freaky visuals; a scene or two of bullying; a girl is abducted, but later rescued; at least one or two of the villains could be scary for some kids. 2/5

The Millennium Scale is kind of just a glorified lie detector. It's modeled after the tool used to judge a dead person's soul on their way to the afterlife, with their heart set against the feather of Ma'at. If the heart is heavier, it means the person's soul is too weighed down with sin and is given to a creature called Ammit to devour. When using the Millennium Scale, the side without the feather lowers if the subject lies, or if it senses any evil in the person's soul. If that side touches the body of the scale, Ammit is summoned to devour the subject's heart, killing them. Sugoroku Mutou believed the hieroglyphics on the box read "The one who solves me shall gain the powers and knowledge of darkness." Yugi believed they said something along the lines of "Whoever solves this puzzle shall be granted one wish." and wished for friends. He brought the puzzle with him everywhere, usually keeping it inside the box, and spent eight years trying to solve it. [1] The man can tell the Millennium Puzzle has lots of power just by seeing Dark Yugi's room. He says his family will be taking this power if they need it. Dark Yugi tells him that the Millennium Puzzle's power is in his room. However, to show it he will play a game. If the man wins, he will tell him the secrets of the Millennium Puzzle. The rules are simple: somewhere in his mind holds Dark Yugi's true room; if he finds it, he wins. The man states he has special abilities. With his power, he can freely manipulate the rooms of a person's mind and even destroy that person's personality. The man decides to accept the game and Dark Yugi wonders if it will really be that easy and that he's underestimating the danger of this game.

The story is sweet and tells you again and again that being nice isn't a disadvantage. Yuugi's humble soul and brave heart is a main theme and creates a good contrast to whom Yuugi become when the Millennium Puzzle takes over. In the anime though, the contrast is clearer (thanks to sound and color).

Who Solved The Millennium Puzzle?

Dark Yugi describes the power of the puzzle as "the power of unity", comparing a puzzle's pieces forming a whole to friends coming together. Yugi frequently credits the Millennium Puzzle with bringing him friendship with Joey Wheeler. Yugi originally used the phrase "Something that can be seen, yet cannot be seen" to describe the Millennium Puzzle before it was completed, since even though you can see the pieces, you can't see the whole puzzle since it isn't complete. This riddle has been used many times in the Japanese version of the anime, with different characters providing different answers. The Millennium Puzzle appears in the Amphibia episode All In, where it is seen in a pile of puzzles that Marcy Wu solved. Other lesser-known powers include protecting the user and others from harm and magical forces, and the ability to communicate with Duel Monster spirits. Also, it allows its owner to sense and feel thoughts and emotions, and to enter the minds of others. It can also sense impending danger and the great powers of other mystical artifacts and beings. During his tag-team duel with Joey against Para and Dox, Yami Yugi (both in the anime and in the manga) was able to sense the power of the Gate Guardian monsters the brothers were preparing to summon, but didn't know what the pair of Eliminators planned to summon until it happened. The Millennium Items are also mentioned in the description of " Sengenjin". He carries a golden spear, axe and mace; while not confirmed, these are implied to be the Millennium Items he uses. Yugi wanders the museum, looking for his puzzle. The man with the white robe approaches Yugi. Meanwhile, Kanekura holds his head in fear. Yugi notices the man is holding his Millennium Puzzle, the man asks if he was the one who solved it. Yugi says yes, but he wants to know why the man has it. The man tells himself the one who solves the puzzle possesses the power of darkness; he must make sure Yugi really holds this power. With the Millennium Key around his body, the man decides to peek inside Yugi's mind. The Millennium Key activates, and the man now finds himself inside Yugi's mind.
