About this deal

Figure comes with 4 alt hands, 2 blast effects, and Megatron blaster accessories. Also features a clear chest panel and flexible hose Transformers R.E.D., stylized as R.E.D. [Robot Enhanced Design], is a subline of the Generations franchise featuring six-inch scale non-transforming action figures of Transformers characters from across different franchises and continuities. Aesthetically, the line trends towards show-accuracy in its sculpts, though it's not uncommon for extra sculpted details not on the show models to pop up on some of the simpler designs. Each figure comes with multiple accessories and extra hands for more display options. Highly poseable with 39 deco ops and 24 points of articulation, this Transformers R.E.D. figure was designed to bring collectors our most screen-accurate version of the character to display on their shelf This version of the mold was later redecoed into the original toy's colors for the e-HOBBY-exclusive Galvatron II, with a new speech clip.

Enhance your Transformers collection with Transformers R.E.D. [Robot Enhanced Design] figures. These 6-inch scale figures are inspired by iconic Transformers characters from throughout the Transformers universe, including G1, Transformers: Prime, Beast Wars: Transformers, and beyond. R.E.D. figures do not convert, allowing us to enhance the robot mode with a sleek, "kibble-free" form. This redeco of the Universe Galvatron toy was aimed at being even more show-accurate than the Henkei version shown above. Galvatron now features metallic blue paint on most of his robot body and metallic red on his abdominal plates. His cannon barrel is completely unpainted and translucent, likewise to better resemble both the show and the original toy. He now has Decepticon insignias on his robot chest and tank turret, for the first time in the history of the mold. It also has the distinction on being the only version of the mold to have a metallic blue turret, further increasing screen accuracy.

With 80 deco ops and each surface painted on, R.E.D. figures were designed to bring collectors the most screen-accurate versions of their favorite characters to display on their shelves. The promotional images for this figure depict a different sculpt for the crown-mask. This tooling lasted late enough in the development process that it surfaced on some prototypes. According to John Warden, the mold included a pretooled alternate head which was "an animated Galvatron", and a toy-based silver version of the figure had been conceptualised, but neither of these possibilities were followed through on. [1] Galvatron was retooled into Generations Selects Super Megatron. This Megatron figure features a Fusion Cannon accessory, 4 alternate hands including one that holds an Energon cube, and fans can also replace hand with the Energon Mace accessory. Accessories: Laser Rifle, Particle Cannon, Particle Cannon connector, Matrix of Leadership w/ chain Hasbro's print advertisement for this figure (featuring Galvatron in combat with Sideswipe) depicts it with the right arm held away from the body and pointing upwards… which is a pose the toy cannot actually assume, short of digital manipulation and/or breaking and creatively gluing the arm.

Universe Galvatron transforms into a tank reminiscent of the Israel Weapons Industries Merkava main battle tank with some design elements taken from Megatron's old Neutro-Fusion Tank. On the tank turret is the slogan "GALV-25", in reference to the Transformers brand's 25th anniversary. His "gripping" hands can be removed and replaced with hands in other poses, or with his sawblade, auger or drill attachments, all based on their in-show appearances (though the sawblade is only screen-accurate when used on his left arm, which very very rarely happens in the show). However, only the drill is capable of rotating "properly" via the wrist joint.
