About this deal

The pedals themselves offer a huge amount of customization. This is possibly our favorite part of the pedals. You can adjust the spacing between each pedal by mounting the pedal plate in one of three locations.

As I just mentioned, you can also adjust the angle of each pedal, which is a lovely touch. By rotating the mounting support behind each pedal you can add an increased incline to each pedal. These are designed to work on all T range Thrustmaster wheels, and they should be a must buy for those who have a T300 or TX racing wheel. If you already have a T500 RS, these are practically the same but with the extra braking mod. This introduces progressive braking, and can be configured in a range of configurations to adjust the progression rate. The conical brake mod can add up to 70 pounds of extra resistance in to your brake pedal. Yes, it will cost me a tad more, but i think they will probably upgrade the pedals a good bit, and i can get more money for them when i sell them, so little loss to upgrade the pedalsThis allows you to run a closer brake and throttle pedal for heel and toe downshifting, if that’s your style. The brake is a lot stiffer to press than the throttle and the clutch, as you would imagine. And it gives a decent feeling towards braking as standard. Thrustmaster have reworked the plastic base to include a nicer, more subtle grip design, which also adds to the increased aesthetic quality.

The T500RS had a spring based brake pedal, which allowed you to stiffen the brake pedal by installing a spring mod. This improves the ease of being able to use the heel and toe technique to downshift. You can replicate a similar setup with these Thrustmaster pedals. One of the key improvements of the T3PA pedals, once you’ve looked past the third pedal, is the inclusion of a brake mod. This optional brake mod changes how the brake pedal reacts, and adds a slightly more realistic feel to the pedal progression. We’ll look at this in more detail further in to this review.Having dealt with racing wheels slipping during intense racing sessions, I'm delighted to say that the TX never shifted once during my testing, even on my cheap desk with its waxy finish.

You may think on first impression that these look identical to the already existing T500RS pedals. And, well they are certainly very similar. But that is for good reason. The T500RS pedals feature the best product design of any Thrustmaster pedal set to date. So we have covered how to use Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel. But what if you fancy doing things the other way around. What if you want to use Thrustmaster pedals with a Fanatec wheel. There are of course the T3PA Pro pedals, if you fancy another step up. The Pro pedal variant allow for even more customization by allowing you to invert the pedals.

The great thing about the DriveHub is its huge compatibility with all sim racing products. It includes all main wheel bases, pedals, shifters and handbrakes from Fanatec, Thrustmaster and Logitech. This means you can create almost any combination of sim racing products, creating your ultimate sim rig for console. Drifting around corners feels realistic as I let the wheel slip through my hands when the car regains its grip. The experience is powerful and unbelievably smooth, justifying its asking price and immediately selling me on the belt mechanic. Considering the size of the servo, it sounds relatively quiet during gameplay, except for some built-in cooling fans powering up during intense moments. Ricmotech load cells are recommended to be used with a robust chassis that has an integrated seat. Using the load cell when the seat is not at a fixed distance from the pedals will result in awkward positioning and discomfort while driving. Ricmotech does not recommend using the load cell with wheel stands, office chairs, folding chairs and the like. An outward "leg press" position works best. Thrustmaster have been making the right steps towards the ultimate pedal set for a while. The base pedals you get with some Thrustmaster wheels come with only two pedals and are just not fit for sim racing.
