About this deal

If you like you can skip to the next post now, which is a brief look at issue 1, the American Infantry Watch, or read on for why I’m doing this thread. This superb collection brings you military-style wristwatches featuring the design elements most desired by land, sea and air forces from the early 1900s to the mid-1980s. Each watch was tailored to the needs of a particular branch of the world’s armed forces during different decades. Many of the watches’ details later became common features on civilian timepieces. I can assure you there is no such thing as an irrelevant question, and we won’t be blasting you for not owning a Rolex, or even not owning a Seiko, or for owning a ‘Hello Kitty' watch and not knowing what a chapter ring is. I dunno what the thing is with the long stem, I suspect the original it alludes to maybe had a flexible stem, it attracted quite a lot of attention with my friends I saw out and about today and was the first time I hadn't worn my Amphibia since I got it lol The Auctioneers act as agents for the vendor, and as such are not responsible for any default by the vendor or the buyer. Numerous companies still manufacture watches with similar specification with both quartz and mechanical movements. The administrator, once appointed, should issue a statement as to what is likely to happen next. This can take a while. Are there any Eaglemoss military watch lovers out there? If so what do you like about their watches? NB: It’s my opinion that the hour hand is over long on this face, and perhaps the hour scale too small, ideally the hand wouldn’t reach past the scale. A few weeks later I signed up to a watch forum and found a few likeminded UK based watch enthusiast who where also interested in the Eaglemoss MWC, we started chatting and because of the fortnights gap between watches the topic of conversation started to drift to other types of affordable watches, and beyond, way-way beyond. we started a bit of a mutual interest thread that went off topic more than it stayed on. Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a watch, never been great at punctuality, but I’ve always known how late I was. I also have a tendency to collecting and look after things I own so over the years had acumulated a few watches, mainly cheap fashion watches, but a few budget brands, a couple of good quartz chronographs, and a very nice quality automatic. The French aviator with two working sub dials intrigued me, I was actually quite impressed as it had a proper if a little light steel bracelet to find that someone at the factory had forgotten to put the 1 numeral on the dial. The NASA astronauts "homage" is a fully working chronograph I am led to believe which if you think about the price of the magazine, an absolute steal for the price. All come with a magazine, they've all been in the presentation case so have no individual boxes anymore. None have been worn to my knowledge & all have the clip on the open crown so battery life hasn't been wasted.

On a smaller secondary scale printed in white, Hours indicated with roman numerals with triangles at 12-3-6-9. Because of this the information about the watches got lost in the abundance, it wasn’t unusual to get 200 posts a day that had nothing to do with watches, let alone the Eaglemoss Watches.

According to the magazine this watch is based on Vietnam Era US military spec watches produced by various companies such as Timex and Bradley.
