About this deal

The mower is fitted with a 33cm steel cutting blade, which is the best material for a lawn mower as it offers the right balance between strength and durability. It is a quality blade that does not need sharpened often, if at all, while replacement blades are easy to source and very affordable. LARGE BAG NEEDS EMPTYING LESS OFTEN – mesh design makes for a better airflow so the generous 35 litre bag fills up completely before it needs emptying, which means you have fewer trips to the compost heap and finish your mowing in less time The WEER33 is an electric rotary mower designed for mid to large size gardens up to around 350m2. It features a powerful motor, high cutting speeds, and is one of the lightest models available for mid to large size lawns. GENUINE PRODUCT FROM AN ESTABLISHED BRITISH BRAND – Webb has a long-standing reputation for superior quality products that are simple to use and easy to maintain, and it has a large UK-based customer service team ready to help with any aftercare issues Secondly, Webb mowers are very durable. They avoid using flimsy plastic in areas that need tough materials, unlike many other manufacturers.

As it is a corded mower you need to plug it into mains power, with the 10m cable offering ample reach to navigate in most gardens. 10m is standard for a mower cable length, being suitable for most average sized gardens in the UK, but if this is not enough reach then you can simply use an extension cable. For example, if you buy a Webb mower and use the grass collector, rather than mulching, you can be assured that the clippings will go into the grass box, rather than leaving a mess on your lawn. This is the type of quality you can expect from Webb – they offer more than just mowers that cut grass well. On the handlebars, the pull-to-start lever spans across the entire bar, which made it easy to find a comfortable place to hold it while mowing. Plus, there’s also a foam covering that prevents the bar from getting too cold – which is great for keeping your hands warm during late autumn mows. While there is no mulching or rear roller functions included, this is not much of an issue when you consdier how reasonably priced the WEER33 is. LARGE BAG NEEDS EMPTYING LESS OFTEN – mesh design makes for better airflow so the generous 35-litre bag fills up completely before it needs emptying, which means you have fewer trips to the compost heap and finish your mowing in less timeFor example, the 65mm setting is suitable for days when the grass is longer. You never want to mow too much at one time – no more than 1/3 of its current height – so this setting should be left if your grass is longer. For each subsequent next mow, simply reduce the blade height until you get the desired look for the lawn. This mower is also quite easy to use. It has a nice sturdy feel, but isn’t too heavy. Like on all Webb mowers, height adjustment is easy, and there are 7 settings to choose from, between 23-77mm, which is quite a good range. Plus, the handles are nice and soft, and don’t become uncomfortable after extended periods of mowing. The Webb WEER33 features a robust 1300W electric motor that produces a no load cutting speed of 3600rpm. When considering the power and size of the blade, the mower is recommended for use in mid to large size gardens, working best in areas between 300-350m2.

The handlebar comes with soft padding, reducing vibrations, helping to further improve usability by reducing the chances of fatiguing your hands, while larger rear wheels maintain stability across all terrains. Grass Combs and Grass BoxYou do get a lot in return for your money though. The grass collection bag is a decent size, at 55L, and you can also choose to side discharge or mulch your clippings if you’d prefer. Having all of these three options is really great, especially if you don’t like the hassle of having to empty the clippings box when mowing. While everything was relatively self-explanatory, the instruction manual wasn’t very clear. With only four small images to show the four steps, it required a bit of squinting (even with my glasses on) to see which piece was what. Large Bag Needs Emptying Less Often- mesh design makes for better airflow so the generous 35-litre bag fills up completely before it needs emptying, which means you have fewer trips to the compost heap and finish your mowing in less time Moving it around doesn’t require much strength, ensuring you don’t feel fatigued after long periods of mowing. This is good if your lawn is sloped or irregularly shaped, as having a lighter mower ensures that mowing is not too much of an effort in these more challenging conditions. Other than being a bigger, more powerful mower, the ER40 has essentially the same design as the ER33. It’s very durable, and folds down for easy storage. However, it is a fair bit more expensive, and given what it costs, we would like to see a mulching function.

These types of mowers are best if you’re looking for a new lawn mower that’s a simple rotary option, without the added cost of having a battery, and not an expensive option, like a self propelled petrol mower. This Webb WEER33 is a powerful mower as it gets its power from a powerful motor of 1150 watt. Its cutting width is 33 cm. It has 6 different number of cutting heights which varies form 25 mm to 65 mm. Webb Classic WEER33 Electric Rotary Lawnmower with 5 Cutting Heights, 33cm Cutting Width and 35L Collection Bag - 2 Year Guarantee - Genuine Product From An Established British Brand- Webb has a long-standing reputation for superior quality products that are simple to use and easy to maintain, and it has a large UK-based customer service team ready to help with any aftercare issues

The Webb WEER33 'Classic' Electric Rotary-Mower combines an adjustable cutting-height (25-65mm) with both bagging and rear-discharge capabilities, so it can be set-up to suit the conditions you're confronted with on any given day (height-selection is via only one lever). As the Webb Classic WEER33 is designed for smaller lawns, I put the 5 cutting heights (ranging from 25 – 65 mm) through a thorough test on a smaller lawn area with low-to-medium growth. For a smooth cutting job that can reach all the hard-to-get places and leave your lawn looking fresh, you certainly can’t go far wrong with this classic electric mower from Webb.

You always want a lawn mower with an adjustable cutting blade, as you need to use different heights depending on the length and condition of the lawn. Thankfully, the WEER33 has good range of cutting heights to choose from, ranging from 25mm to 65mm, giving all the settings you need for mowing lawns of varying conditions. I tested 2 of the 5 height settings and they both worked brilliantly. Plus, they were easy to change, as you simply pull the handle up or down. It was a shame the heights aren’t labelled on the mower, but it isn’t difficult to figure out which setting you’re on. Weighing in at just 12.8kg and with a cutting width of 33cm, the Webb Electric Rotary Lawnmower is the ultimate, compact, go-to lawnmower for all of your lawn-cutting needs. Excellent on space-saving storage thanks to it’s folding handle, it includes a 10-metre mains-lead allowing for greater freedom of movement and flexibility, making it perfect for reaching just about any area of your garden or outdoor space. POWERFUL 1300W MOTOR AND 5 CUTTING HEIGHTS– simply raise the single lever to lower the blade to cut grass to the perfect length from a very short 25mm to a higher 65mm You can use it on lawns larger than this but the narrower blade does means it would take longer to mow – there are models with a larger cutting widths better suited to these situations.

About Webb

When cutting taller grass, the instruction manual notes that slower walking does a better job. I trimmed a few longer corners of grass very slowly and it worked just fine. Push mowers are cheap and manually powered, so they are the most eco-friendly mower you can buy but, they can be hard work for the user, particularly if strength and mobility are an issue.
