About this deal

Anywho the performance, excellent. Kate smashed it out of the park as always. The way the audio book read however… See this is a book that changes POV’s mid chapter so I’m a work setting it can be a little confusing when you’re hearing someone, and then with relatively no pause we’re hearing about someone else. So like kinda hard to follow, even with a physical read I’d imagine. I find that there is a message of hope given in the book where friendship is possible between two different species who can hunt/eat each other. This friendship is reached through knowledge and communication. The wolf and the boy come from different worlds, but they can lean on each other. Yes, I love this song (Lean on me) and secretly want you to love it too. I find it very sweet that the boy chooses to close one eye to be on equal grounds with the wolf. Go, don a disguise and see what you can discover. Observe everything. And if there is opportunity to gain their trust and learn more, do as they ask.

In the shortest book, you discover worlds you never thought existed and get to see animals in a different light. It is the type of book where children read one thing and adults read the same thing on another level and they can exchange ideas on the book. As a philosophical tale, the book can be read by anyone, from 8 to 88 years old (I mean, people above 88 can read it too, it's just an expression), and still be appreciated. But please understand, many of the Forsaken were once citizens of Lordaeron. They are trying to do something extraordinary here, and I promise, if you play along and help them, it will be worth the effort.

I found myself pulled from one character to the next, feeling just as engrossed with the Hakon's side as I was with Reinar's. You see each character develop through the story and you can fully understand who they are as a person, whether it's a vindictive king who is determined to have his revenge, or its a dreamer who is on a journey of self discovery, you truly can see inside them. I would try writing Winter’s Fury off and on, but I never got very far, and dissatisfied, I always gave up, telling myself there simply wasn’t enough The author used it so you would just.. Extra hate the antagonists I guess, when they were already easily hate-able. Twelve-year-old Lily has lived with her emotionally distant oncologist stepfather and a succession of nannies since her mother died in a car accident two years ago. Nannies leave because of the difficulty of caring for Adam, Lily’s severely autistic 4-year-old half brother. The newest, Suzanne, seems promising, but Lily is tired of feeling like a planet orbiting the sun Adam. When she meets blind Zoe, who will attend the same private middle school as Lily in the fall, Lily’s happy to have a friend. However, Zoe’s take on the plight of the captive dolphin, Nori, used in Adam’s therapy opens Lily’s eyes. She knows she must use her influence over her stepfather, who is consulting on Nori’s treatment for cancer (caused by an oil spill), to free the animal. Lily’s got several fine lines to walk, as she works to hold onto her new friend, convince her stepfather of the rightness of releasing Nori, and do what’s best for Adam. In her newest exploration of animal-human relationships, Rorby’s lonely, mature heroine faces tough but realistic situations. Siblings of children on the spectrum will identify with Lily. If the tale flirts with sentimentality and some of the characters are strident in their views, the whole never feels maudlin or didactic. I really enjoyed this story of Alys and her unfortunate tale of being kidnapped and revealing that she is a dreamer, to her captors and then the long journey she endures with her captors.

Here’s my main problem with the book. because otherwise it was a decent epic fantasy’s about some really cool, strong female characters.

Daniel Pennac was born on the same day as his first dog. He doesn’t profess to be an expert on the subject of all things canine but does see himself as part dog and a friend to the species. and I didn’t even know how to run. But every day it got a little easier and eventually, I started to write more freely, and one day I had enough of a I do feel like the title could have been "Battle of the Dreamers" as so much of the story was just that! No other reviewers have mentioned this! I am not a die hard fantasy reader and it was a tad over the top for me. But amazing nonetheless, how the magic was weaved into the storyline and how it affected the characters and the battle outcome. Believable in a time of great fear of the supernatural and the power of "the gods"
